This was the worst experience I have ever had with movers. When I called to book, they were quick to respond and take my $200 deposit. I did not receive a confirmation email, and did not receive a call the day before or the day of to confirm my move. Josh, the owner, had promised that the company wraps all furniture. HUGE LIE. The movers, one of whom was clearly on drugs and no longer working for the company, ruined thousands of dollars worth of furniture during our move over 3 months ago. Would you believe that they left cigarette holes in the couch?! ...and we have never smoked cigarettes! They not only didn't wrap our furniture as promised, but they took poor care of our boxes as well. This is evidenced by busted open and torn up boxes. Thankfully, my husband and I bubble wrapped everything tight, and reinforced all of our fragile items. It was - and has been - extremely difficult to work with Josh to file a claim against this move with his insurance company. I am still currently trying to work with the insurance company, but Josh has not returned the claims adjuster's calls for over a month. Josh has dodged my calls, and has no reason to be in business. He has lied many times, and changes his story regularly. First he told me that he was merging with another company and that the insurance process would take a couple weeks. A couple weeks went by, and I had to follow up as I had not heard back. From there, I had to call Josh 10+ times in a row daily in order for him to answer my calls. We finally touched base and he kept feeding me lie after lie. Second, after getting in touch he told me that he is super busy answering calls all week for the moving company and it was best to reach him late on Friday afternoons. The next lie: he told me that his company doesn't have enough money in the bank to cover my damaged goods...yet his business is clearly thriving with all of the calls he is receiving each day. Third, after going back and forth, Josh finally forwarded me the info to the insurance agent. This happened over a month after the move. I get in touch immediately with the insurance company, and they let me know that this is the first that they have heard about this disaster, thus, catching Josh in another lie. The insurance company filed the claim with the claims adjuster, and has attempted to get in touch with Josh for weeks on end. I am still waiting for him to get in touch, and I personally call him regularly without an response. I have left numerous voice messages on both phone lines that he we have been in touch on, and have emailed regularly, and have been left without a response. His demeanor is atrocious, and completely unprofessional. I 100% urge you to find a different moving company.

The quality of communication on the part of the owner was extremely poor and unprofessional. When I scheduled a move he told me three things on the phone: the price per hour, the two hour minimum charge is needed for a deposit, and they would contact me the day before to give us a better time frame of when to expect the movers. We were immediately charged for the deposit, and by immediately I mean as soon as I was done with the phone call I got a text literally 3 seconds later. The day before the move there was absolutely no communication from the company (as he had said there would be on our initial conversation). One the day of the move we did get a call finally and they showed up in that given window. The move took 1 hour and 15 minutes. The movers were professional and good, just not very friendly. And they were from a different company entirely, not Altitude Movers as advertised. As soon as they left we got a charge for another 1/2 hour with no opportunity to approve or deny it. When asked why, the owner said they start the clock at time of dispatch. Firstly, the owner never mentioned anything about that on the phone. If he did, don't you think it would also be good to mention that a truck might be coming from 45 minutes away?!?! Even if I did know about that, the last time I checked 45 minutes plus 1 hour and 15 minutes equals 2 hours... the exact charge we initially received. Where did that extra mystery 1/2 hour come from? Poor communication and shady business practices. I called to dispute the charge and had to leave a message. Haven't heard back yet. The owner said its part of his usual spiel to talk about the clock starting at the time of dispatch, but that was definitely untrue in our case. Neglecting to mention that we might be charged for over an hour of time when we didn't even use the workers is a pretty big breach of communication. Maybe I could have asked more questions, but having never used professional movers before I really didn't know how things worked or what to ask. Had I known ahead of time how this guy works, I would have called someone else. Be wary of paying for at least an hour of time ($145 or more) when you don't even see the workers.

SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT HIRE UNLESS YOU WANT TO MOVE YOURSELF. Do not under any circumstances book this company for your move. Josh the owner is quick to take your deposit and over promise - But come moving day will duck your calls, pretend he's in meetings and lie to your face. I truly do not believe this company has any other employees other than Josh and is a complete scam of a business. I booked two movers a month in advance, and he assured me they would be there the morning of 5/27/22. On the day of my move, the movers never showed - Even though Josh said several times "They were probably just held up at another job and would be there soon". After a while he just completely stopped answering his phone, so we were forced to do the entire move by ourselves. I now have to wait 5 days to get my deposit back from him. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. Josh, if you're reading this - You should consider another line of work.

Same story as everyone else. Took a $318 deposit. Was supposed to meet me on a Monday, they cancelled an hour before I was set to meet them saying their pallet jack broke. Move it to Wednesday and I called them 2 hours before I was set to meet them to verify we were still set to meet. He answered saying yes (although he sounded like I woke him from a nap at 3:30 in the afternoon) and then they never showed or responded to calls or texts. When I initially called to setup the appointment he said he had just bought the business and was working on improving their reviews because the previous owners managed the business poorly. That should have been a sign for me to check the reviews but I didn't. I don't even know if this guy has movers or if he just collects deposits and then never shows up.

Should've looked up the reviews before using Altitude because they definitely lived up to the poor reviews. We were charged a 2 hour deposit to reserve our movers to unload our pod. The morning they were supposed to arrive, we got a call that none of their movers were available and that they were trying to find other people to come. We didn't receive any follow up calls, so at 1pm (hours after they were supposed to be there) we tried to call for an update. They started screening our phone number and not answering - but would answer when we called from a different number. No one ended up coming and we had to unload our entire house ourself before our pod was to be picked up the next day. We had hired Altitude because I have severe back problems and unfortunately I injured myself having to do the lifting myself. The worst part about this getting our money back afterwards. They would not respond to any of our emails or phone calls demanding our deposit back since no one showed. Luckily, we used our credit card company and we were able to dispute the charge through them. We'll be reporting this company to BBB because they are absolutely scamming people for money. DO NOT USE ALTITUDE MOVERS!!!
