Would have been 5 stars. The Customer Service confirmed my appointment to install my Heating & Cooling. The Customer Service Representative told me the installers will arrive between 8am-11am. It was 30 minutes past 11:00am and no one showed up. So I called Customer Service to find out what's going on and to my surprise the Representative told me that the installation is on hold because they didn't get the permit from the city. I was in shock because how can you confirm an installation if you didn't have the permit in the first place. And not only that. No one had the courtesy to call me and let me know that the installation was on hold. I was furious. So someone dropped the ball. Eventually, they were able to proceed with the installation pending the permit. I had to wait another 4 hours for the installers from 2pm-5pm and it was finished late night. Other than that, the installation went smoothly, the installers did a great job and I was happy of the result.

I'm disappointed. Not only did I spend more than I should have, but your technician also scratched my brand-new washing machine. I had covered both the washer and dryer, but the cover fell off and wasn’t put back on. It was a two-person job, with heavy equipment that needed to be moved, especially in and out of the basement. Yet, Four Seasons only sent one person. Why? You charge a premium, but the service is still lacking. Just to clarify, this was not an emergency. My AC/Fan was working fine. However, there was an intermittent rattling noise caused by a faulty motor. Additionally, I'd like to mention another issue: The technician who came in the morning only checked the furnace briefly and left the unit open with electrical wires exposed. Thankfully, we don't have young children or pets, so nothing serious happened." It seems there was a miscommunication or oversight in managing the job at my location. Only one person was sent for what required two or more, and the worker was struggling to handle everything on his own. Even though I have osteoarthritis, I tried to help out because I felt bad for him. This isn't the level of service I would expect from a reputable U.S.-based company like Four Seasons Heating and Cooling Here’s the whole;e story: Our home furnace motor was making intermittent noises. Sometimes it was hushed, and other times it was squeaky, almost rattling, but it was still working fine. The furnace is 9 years old, and a typical furnace lasts 15-20 years. I called 4 Seasons, and their technician arrived on Saturday, the 21st of September. He looked at the furnace, took out the motor, and said I needed a new one. I asked how much it would cost, and he quoted around $2500. I said, 'OK, let's do it.' At that point, he started talking about replacing the entire furnace for $5200 or more. I was reluctant to replace the whole furnace, so I asked him to schedule just the motor replacement. That's when he pointed out a small, almost unnoticeable bend in the upper portion of the furnace. It's a Payne furnace, only 9 years old—not a cheap one. However, the technician claimed the motor would go bad again because of that bend, which didn’t make much sense to me. He also mentioned that there was no warranty on the motor replacement, whereas a new furnace would come with a 10-year warranty. The technician who came in the morning seemed more focused on convincing us to spend more money, whereas the person who came later to install the furnace was very professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. e having my new equipment scratched during the process. Someone from your customer service team called and offered me $100 and one year of free services. I declined the offer because: 1. Would I be interested in your services after my recent experience? You've lost a loyal, long-time customer. 2. I’m not looking for money. Please fix the scratches on my washing machine. It’s a 6 inch long, deep scratch, and all you offered me was $100 and free services. That’s ridiculous. --------------------- Updatde as of September 24th 2024: @ Four Season: In response to your call and text message, I called yesterday and again today, and both times I was on hold for an extended period. This is unacceptable and has wasted my time. You've already compromised my trust, as well as my equipment.

*** EDIT 09/10/24 *** A reddish leak has now appeared from under the faulty A/C unit. Four Seasons refused to uninstall the A/C unit and refund our money. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and are waiting for a response. Four Seasons did not attempt to reconcile their problem in any way other than by continuing to send a revolving door of technicians who did not prevent the system from freezing, malfunctioning, or leaking. It DOES NOT take 10 technicians to diagnose and repair an Air Conditioning system. -------- *** EDIT 08/30/24 **** Our line set froze on the A/C system exactly a week after an Inspector cleared this A/C system as working correctly. We will be pursuing a full refund with the Better Business Bureau. I would give this "business" zero stars if I could. CUSTOMER: AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. The fact that a disabled senior citizen is being left without air conditioning at several points during dangerously hot temperatures is inexcusable and unethical. -------- *** EDIT 08/27/24 *** Four Seasons returned to install a new orifice in the A/C system which they sealed with silicone. After that, an Inspector showed up who stated that the system was working correctly. We are waiting to see if the A/C system malfunctions in any way, especially during these extremely hot temperatures. I am adjusting this review to two stars from one star only because of the fact that the A/C system is currently working; however, the Inspector himself was unsure as to why it took a revolving door of technicians to diagnose the problem which left us inconvenienced and without air conditioning during times when we needed it the most. -------- *** EDIT 08/14/24 *** Four Seasons sent out two of their technicians on 08/12/24 to install a new line set free of charge only after seeing this negative review. The technicians seemingly installed everything correctly just without cleaning out the debris left by the outside A/C unit. We get a call from Customer Service two days later asking if this negative review can be taken down. Today we notice that our brand new line set attached to a year-old A/C unit is FROZEN... again. Four different visits, five different technicians, and the issue was never fully rectified leaving us having to shut off the A/C in the middle of a hot day to await an Inspector. Customer beware: You will only receive prompt service if you mention reporting Four Seasons to outside institutions. However, avoid this company at all costs because you will be forced to eventually look elsewhere since they are incapable of rectifying their problems. ----------- We were told in August 2024 that we need a new line set installed to replace an old one that was left attached to a new $5K Lennox Single Stage Cooling A/C unit that was improperly installed by Four Seasons in June 2023. The unit is warranted for 12 years yet encountered issues 13 months after installation. There was no record of the technician testing the old line set before running the new A/C for the first time. We did not want to be held financially responsible for this technician’s mistake. The leak was the result of an improper install since the line set is on the ground when it is not supposed to be left that way. Two different technicians confirmed this. The initial technician didn’t follow proper protocol and testing prior to startup of the refrigerant & this leak is now a direct result of Four Seasons’ negligence. Although the A/C unit was cleaned, topped off with coolant, and a dye was put it in to eventually spot the leak, this was only a temporary fix to a much bigger issue. We were told that we had no other option but to pay for a new line set installation which is financially unethical & predatory. The Better Business Bureau and EPA will be contacted if need be to resolve this issue. However, we kindly asked that Four Seasons install a new line set to be covered for free of charge under the 12 year parts & warranty that came with the new install of the Lennox A/C unit. We are still awaiting a response regarding this matter.

Very professional knew his job and explained everything. My system was very dirty and I didn't even know. Then explained how to keep it clean so it doesn't break down or burn the motor. Best 79.99 spent vs. 3500 for new one Since this day, they came out again because it wouldn't kick on. Unit is 8 yrs old carrier..the capacitor went bad and was under company's carrier warranty. Because 4 seasons guaranteed their work when they cleaned my system, the install was free. This 450 call cost me nothing. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Get to your system checked twice a year You'll be good

*** Edited in response to Four Seasons *** Four Seasons claim: “The only damage reported was the window and they conducted a thorough investigation” This is false. I reported the gutters/flooding and the chipped wood to the technicians on site and they admitted to all of it. I didn’t include those items in the initial report because I initially only cared to be reimbursed on my bill for the window. It was only when my claim was denied - to my surprise - that I informed them of all the other problems that had happened, in order for them to understand one’s surprise at denying such an obvious claim. A couple items, such as the damaged walls and tools dropped and left in the sump pump were not found until shortly after the technicians had left, making it impossible to report them at the same time I had reported the broken window, which was directly after I found it with the technicians still on site. The damage is very obviously done by the technicians due to the nature of their work. Four Seasons claim: “inconsistencies in the reporting…” Again, these are not inconsistencies…I just chose to ask for reimbursement on only ONE of the MANY problems you all caused. I brought the others up in a separate email outside the claim, after you had denied it. In addition, a couple damages I didn’t find until later, such as tools in my sump pump. Obviously this is impossible to report to you until later, once found. That isn’t what an inconsistency is. I have photos with meta data (time and date stamped) that I have provided to you. They were taken while your workers are on property, It shouldn’t matter that I chose to report this the day of or a couple days later after finding multiple things wrong instead of one or two items. Four seasons claim: “the lack of initial reporting has led to inconsistencies in the claim” This makes no sense. I spoke with a customer service representative about the broken window the second I found it, while the technicians were on site. I’m only telling you about ADDITIONAL problems - not related to the broken window - later, once they were found. These were brought to your attention outside the official claim of a broken window. How one is used to deny the adequacy of the other is beyond me. You have phone records and emails of all these happenings that I have tried to get customer service to follow along with and their efforts are nil. Four seasons claim: “There is mentioned video footage that was never received on our end” This is false. The customer service representative told me she received the video footage and reviewed it herself. Please check your phone records. I believe her name is Angela. This is a new home and I have an inspection report that indicates none of these damages were here prior to your visit. *** Initial Review is below *** I had a couple technicians out to do some electrical work. They were not careful around the home and caused damage to a hardwood floor, drilled and punched incorrect holes in the drywall that they did not repair, dropped equipment into my sump pump and never removed, disconnected my gutter system and never re-connected it leading to flooding, and broke a basement window laying conduit. I filed a complaint with the company asking for them to take the cost of the window off my remaining balance and they denied the claim. Their reasoning was that the technicians claimed that they did not break the window, even though I provided photo and video evidence of all of the above. The agent responsible for my claim also had many facts in the wrong order, like she hasn’t written down the information correctly, causing her to claim that my story had changed. I have talked with a couple different managers and all have refused to rectify any of the problems they caused. This is surprising to me, given the amount of things that went wrong, the evidence I have of it, and the customer service statement they adverse on their website. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, as Four Seasons customer service was very unhelpful. Do not recommend.
