Avoid, you get what you pay for. Also be aware while you are reading reviews that employees ask customers to leave a good google review after each move. The movers were nice enough, but in the process a furniture item of mine was broken and I was not notified at all. It was a wooden cabinet with glass shelves, and the shelves were moved individually from the cabinet. I did not even notice the glass shelves were missing until the next day, when I emailed to ask if perhaps they were left on the truck. My new place was up a flight of stairs, and I believe I must have been upstairs in the place when the item was broken, hence me not noticing. No response, a few emails and unanswered calls later, a neighbor of mine tells me she saw them drop and break it. This piece of furniture was nothing special, and if they had even bothered to let me know that the shelves had been broken, I would have just said okay and moved on. I didn't seek any reimbursement, simply an acknowledgement and maybe apology that an item of mine was broken. I find it upsetting that this happens and employees just hope it flies under the radar instead of alerting the customer to the accident. It is even more upsetting that after the fact, I cannot get in touch with manager (or anyone for that matter) to rectify the situation. I completely understand that accidents happen, and I also understand being a customer service worker who has experienced many angry interactions. That being said, avoidance of an awkward or potentially angry conversation is not a decent alternative to honesty. Due to this piece of furniture being completely unusable and extremely heavy, I cannot donate it or dump it and will be paying $150 to ANOTHER junk/moving company to haul it off. The low prices of this company are not worth the headache and poor treatment.

This is a two-part review. Part 1 of my move was a move of furniture and boxes into storage in one day. I contacted Best Deal and explained to Deborah the depth of my move, including the removal of excess items, as part of their "Junk Removal." She was very knowledgeable in how to accomplish the move. She continually reassured me that they had everything under control. The owner, Aaron, came out to my house to assess the move and again to the storage unit to do a final assessment. The moving crew was professional, polite, and hard working. I will provide a final review after Part 2 of my move, which will be long distant.

I would like to thank Velma for taking the time to give me estimates for both a two men and three men crew. I decided to use three men, one truck and three hours. Velma gave me an estimate for four hours that way I would have an idea of what my approx. cost would be. My move was scheduled for 10/14/2023 with an arrival window (8:30am-10am). I received a call from Jackie on 10/13/2023 to confirm my booking for three men and one truck. I informed Jackie that I didn’t want to go over three hours. Everything was consistent until the day I was scheduled to move (10/14/2023). The movers arrived around 9:45 am. The lead person informed me that they had four men but I would only be charged for three. I also informed the lead guy that I didn’t want to go over three hours. My move took longer than it should have. I reminded the guys two or three times about getting the dresser out of the master bedroom and that was trash. They left it and now I have to pay my old place 150.00 for them removing it. After the guys were done loading the truck and dumping the items that were trash, the lead person texted me to say they were going to get lunch. How can they take a lunch in the middle of a job at my expense? After they arrived to my new place to unload I was told I had to pay. The lead guy showed me my estimate which was 1,275. A lot more than my estimate plus I didn’t finish my three hours. The lead guy called Jackie so I could speak to her about the bill and extra fees that it included. Jackie went back and forth with me about the charges for four men. How am I responsible for paying for a four men crew when clearly I wanted three. They also wanted me to pay for six hours upfront and that whatever I don’t use would go back into my account. The movers were told not to unload until I made my payment. Once they made adjustments that were within reasoning, I made my payment and the movers were able to unload my furniture. The fourth person was told to sit out. My next dilemma was being left half of my sofa. The movers couldn’t get the second half of my sectional in my apartment. After damaging the walls and dinting the dryer, I told them to stop. Professional movers are suppose to be able to move customers swiftly without doing damage. My moving time was depleted due to the movers taking a lunch and stopping to talk. The guys had issues agreeing and working as a team which was eating up my moving time. I employed Best Deal Movers because I believed that they had the best deal, efficient, professional, and swift. However, I did not experience that. I recommend more training, customer skills and estimates with no hidden costs.

Please avoid this moving company at all cost My baby grand and 7 ft slated table was included with their quote. The $200 for third party quote was removed because they determined they can move without it being crated. I asked “Are you super sure” and he insisted that they could. At the move the crew disassembled the pool table and called me downstairs to inform that it too big of a job for them and the manager would reach out to me by the end of the day make other arrangements. I did not hear from him. I called the next day and they told me they would get it moved at no additional charges due to their issues. Three days later they called and gave me a quote to crate it for $400 and with labor it was $900 for the pool table move. That’s when I became livid. They waived the labor and I paid the $400 additional for the crate. Their vendor arrived and showed me where the crew incorrectly disassembled it and caused cracks in the side bar and should not have left the legs unfastened. He took pics to share with them. Their crew arrived to move it and informed me they were there for the move not to re-assemble at the new location. They spoke to the office and received approval to assemble. At the new location the foreman showed me where the first crew split the side post and the bolts were lost. I called the office livid again as the foreman said it was too damaged to re-assemble. This post is one week later and the moving company still has not reached out to me to resolve. I had to hire someone to patch their damages to where we can at least use it. I reached my credit card company to dispute the charges in their entirety. I showed pictures before the move and a video of the damages after the move. Still the $3500 dispute does not replace the $7500 table but they would have satisfied me with the $900 repair. Though the second crew was thorough and up front, Avoid using this company!
