First, this delayed review is not a reflection of the outstanding service Brian and his team provided. This review is a bit lengthy but East Tn. Moving specialist deserves the notoriety. I cannot say enough about this company. They were committed, prompt & went above my expectations. For those in the immediate area of Sweetwater, TN if you remember the severe snow/ice we had the week of January 15th, any other moving company would not have attempted to do what East TN Moving Specialist did. I can’t begin to describe how furious I am with this company. I rescind my initial positive review given in person after a long day of moving - I had not had a chance to do even a cursory inspection in decent lighting. After looking over our nice wooden furniture, we’re hard pressed to find even a single piece that doesn’t have a new scratch, dent, or paint rub mark from hitting doorways. This is furniture that in most cases has made it through several cross country moves unscathed - until now. We will be filing a claim with the company once we’ve also opened all boxes to assess for any additional damage. The one positive thing I have to say is that our movers were fast and courteous. However, they were not careful and did not use nearly enough furniture pads. We gave them professional leeway and only stepped in a few times to ask for changes here and there, thinking they knew what they were doing. Big. Mistake. They tried to take furniture through doorways that were obviously too small (we were more than willing to take off doors), stacked items that shouldn’t be stacked, and did not properly protect anything. I would not recommend this company to anyone who values the belongings they’ve worked so hard to earn and keep nice.

My husband and I has used this company in the past. The 1st time you're amazing. The last time was MAY 03,2024 I WAS QUOTED A PRICE OF 585.00 INCLUDIND TRUCK FUEL 2 MEN AT 75 AN HOUR AND THIS WAS AGREEABLE U N T I L AND I HAVE THE QUOTED TEXT FROM A FEMALE IN THE OFFICE WAS TOLD TO EXPECT THE MOVERS AT AROUND 3 PM BY 5 PM NO MOVERS AND ANYONE ELSE I HAD HELPED HAD TO LEAVE FOR THEIR OWN JOBS ...THE MOVERS DID NOT ARRIVE UNTIL 6:30 PM MOVING AT A SNALES PASE BECAUSE I WAS THIER 3 MOVE ...EVERYTHING I MY 2 BEDROOM APT WAS BOXED AND READY TO GO THERE WAS 2 BDRM SUITS ONE LOVE SEAT WASHER AND DRYER I HAVE NEVER FELT SO LIED TO A TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF I HAVE WAITED THIS LONG TO GIVE YOUR COMPANY AMPLE TIME TO MAKE AJUSTMENTS .SEVERAL ITEMS WERE BROKEN OR LOST WITH THE PROMISE OF THERE BOSS REPLACING AN ANTIQUE TABLE CURIRO YOUR BOYS BUSRT WE WERE PROMISED IT WOULD BE FIXED AND DELIVERED PERSONALLY BACK TO US ,BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE HOSES MISSINS YOUR GUYS SPENPT MORE TIME HANGING AROUND THE TRUCK FLIRTING WITH THE WOMAN IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX IT EVEVN BE KNOWN AS LOVER BOY AS ONE YOUNG MAN SPENT MORE OF MY MONEY GETTING PAID TO BE OVER 3 HOUR LATE,ASKIG IF THEY COULD STOP AND EAT AFTER LEAVING LOUDON FOR A 13 MIN DRIVE TO SWEETWATER EXIT WHERE FIRST THING I HERE IS TURN GO STRAIGHT BACK TO LOUDON FOR THE TOOLS THEY FORGOT AS I PAID THEM TO STAND AND TALK TO GIRLS IN THE COMPLEX THEY BROUGHT OUR THINGS IN DID NOT SET UP ONE BED BASICALLY PUT THINGS IN SUCH DISORDER WE COULD FIND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. IM TERRIBLE DISSATISFIED FEEL THE COMPANY OWNERS SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED US WAY BEFORE NOW 4 WEEKS LATER I REALLY WOULD LIKE EXPLANATION OF YOUR BEING OVER 3 HOUR LATE YOUR EMPLOYEES CONDUCT AND WE WILL NEVER SEE IT YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR TAKING NO PRIDE IN YOUR WORK. I am giving my honest review of this company. We contacted a company concerning our move on July 30, 2020. They were booked but told us about East Tennessee Moving Specialists - a former employee started his own business. We contacted them, and scheduled our move. It was supposed to be 2 men. On the morning of the move, ETMS called us and said they had another job after ours and that job required 3 men. It would cost a little more, but they were sending us a 3rd man. They arrived an hour late. They proceeded to take apart 2 queen size beds. After an hour and a half, the only thing loaded in the truck were 2 mattresses and box springs. They took a 1/2 hour break. It would take them 15 minutes to strap 3 boxes on a dolly. I was starting to get worried, and told them I thought they were moving too slowly, and noticed that the truck was not being loaded tightly. I'm a 68 year old woman with a hip replacement, and I started carrying boxes from the 2 level of the home downstairs myself. The owner of the company showed up and started yelling at me about disrepecting his employees and threatened to unload the truck in the driveway. I told him that I felt his employees were inexperienced. He said he had been in business for 10 years (not true), and never had a complaint (again not true) and his workers had been working for him for 3 years (again not true - one of the movers told me this was his first day). I informed him that we had just moved all our belongings from Florida 2 months earlier, and I knew exactly how long the move should take, and they may be able to "milk" a job for people that lived in their house for 10 years, because they would have no idea how long the move should take, but I knew how long it should take. He then calmed down. This was the same size truck we had used for our move from Florida. We had taken many loads of boxes ourselves to our new home, along with lawn furniture etc. We also sold 2 reclining sofas, a 108" entertainment center and a table and chairs prior to this move so we had even less items than our original move. Because the truck was not packed correctly, they could barely fit what we had on the truck. I'm attaching pictures of a floor lamp and suitcase that were damaged. They took the items for "repair or replacement". Besides those two items, a solid wooden night stand was damaged, but I didn't pursue it with them. Also, 4 boxes of glassware that made the move from Florida intact, were shattered to pieces. After a month and a half I contacted them about the lamp and suitcase. I was told they couldn't find a replacement lamp, and had ordered wheels for the suitcase. I sent them the Wayfair site where my lamp (but a different color) was listed for $153.99, and told them I would take $125.00 for the lamp, and the suitcase back with new wheels. I heard nothing. A week later I contacted them again, and told them I would give them until Sept. 30 to get this problem taken care of. They said they would give me $200.00 for both items. The suitcase they damaged is more than $200.00 plus the lamp. I told them I would take $250.00 for both - then they said the lamp was not covered, and they were doing me a favor. I reviewed the pre-move letter I signed and it did state that lamps should be boxed and marked fragile so it wasn't covered. This was not a glass lamp, it was a resin floor lamp. I feel they admitted fault when they took the lamp and said they would replace it. If you want an honest, reliable, careful moving company, and value your belongings, please think twice about moving this company. In summary, they tried to upcharge for a 3rd man, they moved slowly to increase hours, and they didn't know how to do the move properly. The move took twice as long, with less items as move from Florida to TN. Inexperienced careless movers are not what you need.

Brian and his guys are phenomenal! I had a whole apartment to move and they were great. They moved me in a timely manner and done it professionally. I will use them again when I move. And, I absolutely will recommend to them to anyone that needs help moving. Thanks Brian and his guys.
