I moved from Georgia back to California in March of 2022. I booked with Elite Moving Partners, LLC in February to handle my move. The service I received from Elite Moving Partners, LLC was great before the date of my move. I was confident that I had booked with the right company to manage all aspects of my move – I was incredibly wrong. Elite Moving Partners, LLC is the brokerage company and used Carefree Movers Inc to manage my pick-up and delivery. Carefree Movers Inc has a 1-star rating online and I am not at all sure why any brokerage would work with such a badly reviewed company. My items were picked up from Georgia on March 19, 2022. The driver was 4 hours late to pick-up my items and incredibly rude. I found him sitting on my furniture instead of doing his job. When it came time to do inventory, his handwriting was so horrible that I asked him to read each inventory line item to me before I did my final sign-off. He then proceeded to tell me that I could read it myself. The men that the driver hired to help with the move were negligent and did not properly package my items. My $400 mirror was completely shattered, my $2,000+ couch has damage to the upholstery, and so so much more. I contacted Elite Moving Partners, LLC on a weekly basis to get an update on when my items would arrive in California. They always brushed me off and told me that my items were “in-route.” It was not until my items were over 30 business days delayed that they really decided to look into where everything was. It turns out, my items were in a warehouse in Georgia the entire time. My items did not finally make it to me in California until May 29, 2022 – over two months later. Before my items were delivered, I spoke with Elite Moving Partners, LLC and Carefree Movers Inc multiple times. Elite Moving Partners, LLC would try to tell me everything I wanted to hear. They would tell me that I did not have to pay the final $1,200 due upon delivery and that the amount would be prorated based on the $30/day owed to me for every day my items were late. They told me that once I file a delay claim, it would be managed immediately and I would be compensated at an expedited rate. None of this was true. They put me in touch with the president and vice president of Carefree Movers Inc who have the absolute worst customer service. They threatened me over-the-phone and told me that if I did not pay the $1,200 that I would not get my items back but instead would be responsible for paying to store the items for as long as it took for them to get their money. They yelled at my partner and I over-the-phone about getting their money when we just wanted answers on what compensation they would be providing for the delay (we were unaware of all of the damages at this time). Being that the shipment was over two months delayed, we agreed to pay the $1,200 delivery fee as we were promised that our claim would be expedited. 12 of my furniture items came damaged. I filed my damage and delayed claim on 6/7/2022 and did not hear back from the settlement company until 8/6/2022 – my claim was not at all expedited like I was told. Carefree Movers Inc wants to settle for $91 – which does not take into account their negligence in the way they packaged or handled my items, nor does it account for the $30/day delay fee owed to me as outlined in the Bill of Lading. I would urge you not to book with Elite Moving Partners, LCC nor Carefree Movers Inc – and if you do, be prepared to go to small claims court.

I would never use this company again, nor do I recommend their services. We hired this company for a recent move and were told that the quality of customer service, especially for a veteran, was exceptional. However, if it were possible, I would give this moving company zero stars. I have never experienced such poor customer service and overall incompetence on every level - from our assigned agent, management, and customer service representatives. We had to call >50 times in order to get a refund for damages, over a 6 month period. After >6 months of waiting for a refund, we were told that the check was mailed. We have yet to receive a refund for damages totaling >$2,000.00, even after calling and emailing multiple times. I would highly recommend going with another company. This company will damage and lose your valuables. Furthermore, they will not refund you what is rightfully yours and are impossible to reach. This company has no integrity.

NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY! THE COMPANY IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND WILL CANCEL ON PEOPLE LAST MINUTE LEAVING CUSTOMERS STRANDED. I hired this trucking company in beginning of July. We had a pick up date of Monday August 9th - Wednesday August 11th. They never called the Sunday before like they were supposed to. I called and Sara had confirmed a pick up date of August 11th 2021, and on Tuesday August 10th I received a call from Sara telling me they are canceling my pick up indefinitely. This left me out of work with lost wages 17 dollars an hour, losing my job I had waiting for me, set me back and costing more money to find a truck last minute to move my stuff cross country. I called the broker John who never responded, called customer service and no Sara to be found, just a Kelly. Finally when I got through to them, I spoke with Kelley then went and spoke to manager, I was simply looking for some kind of compensation for lost wages and the inconvenience of a last minute cancelation being that prices are more last minute gas especially, and having to get a truck with Labor day gas prices on top of the 4.00 a gallon it is now. They would not compensate me for my troubles and money loss. The manager told me, "We refunded your money" as if that was good enough for a last minute cancelation. He then began with arguing with me in regard to they lost the trucking company (or so he says), and when I brought a law suit he responded with, "I had covid for two weeks, should I SUE CHINA?" They would not compensate for anything. The manager was rude and nasty to me and did not care what I was saying, because he was talking over me. I have worked in customer service for many years and THIS IS NOT THW WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. RUDE AND ARROGANT is NOT the way to treat customers that hired them. Here are some pics of my items and the pick update along with date I originally called. They were so pushy rushing me to sign and book the company. NEVER EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I had originally wrote an honest review about this company on how they were unresponsive and made me feel uneasy and I could not reach anyone to update my items to be moved in turn needing an updated quote. Once I posted my negative review I sure got a call back and after discussing with them I still had found a better deal and Elite Moving Partners had lost my trust so David had agreed to refund my deposit. This never happened and here it is 5 months later and they are still fighting me saying I owe the money because its my fault they were unable to complete my move however it was their negligence and purposeful avoidance of my calls that puts them at fault for not canceling my move and refunding me my deposit. Id avoid this company at all costs if possible.

Be aware that Elite Moving Partners buys positive google reviews. Based on our experience with this company, I can't imagine anyone would recommend them. if you look through reviews, you'll see clusters of bad reviews followed by a slew of fake positive ones to bury the bad ones. My husband and I waited over 25 days for our stuff to arrive after a ~600-mile move, and while I recognize there is a shortage of drivers due to covid, the lack of communication from them was the most frustrating part. Our calls and texts would go unanswered and we could not get any concrete timing updates until our stuff was in transit and one day away. They contract out the work to local movers and then want nothing to do with you and cannot be bothered to help. Our dining table, which we paid an extra $150 to have crated, arrived cracked in half, and while we've filed claims for insurance reimbursement, we have received nothing so far. This also follows a horrible pick up experience where movers arrived at 5 pm to pack a three-bedroom house worth of stuff, after calling and asking if they could come the next day, because it was late which would have been outside the 48 hour window we were promised. I could go on about the negatives of our experience... I strongly recommend you save yourself the stress and frustration of working with this company and hire a trusted major van line for your move. It will save you more money and provide peace of mind in the long run.
