In the beginning of February 2014, my experience with Harlem Express Inc was not a good one. - My first scheduled move date was “forgotten about” by Harlem Express staffers. Due to, they did not issue a formal company apology for their mishap, nor offer or present a corporate discount. - For a company whom boast 30+ years of experience, they don’t own a company moving truck, or have employee uniforms… & the owner failed to show proof of liability insurance or Corporate Bond. - Harlem Express exhibited great distaste in increasing their billing fees (after securing my property inside of their moving truck). Due to Harlem Express Inc.'s unprofessionalism (from start to finish) and multiple property/item damages to my belongings, it is safe to say that I will NEVER re-hire Harlem Express Inc... or recommend their services to of anyone (including my worst adversaries)!

Harlem Express has done two jobs for me now, and I wouldn't trust my moving to anybody else! They are total professionals, carefully wrap and secure everything, know how to get things moved quickly and carefully, and go WAY above and beyond the call of duty when needed. Their top notch service = and easy and successful move. Thank you, Marvin and crew!

I could not be happier with the move Harlem Express provided for my family. They gave me a great rate and team of 4 guys that could not have been more professional and friendly. They moved fast and came prepared for anything. We even had to make multiple trips back and forth in rush hour traffic, to a building where parking is non-existent. They are a class act and I recommend them to anyone if you need to hire movers. Thank you Marvin!!!

My fiancé and I were referred to this mover through HireAHelper for a simple job of unloading a truck in New York City. I was contacted by a Mr. Washington via email without a company name, phone number, and by a completely different email address than the one provided by HireAHelper. Our building requires that the moving company provide a COI (certificate of insurance). Mr. Washington replied to the email of my request for a COI that he has to charge us $175 for the COI, which is absurd. This led us to believe that he is not insured. He also never provided any proof that he is insured or bonded at all. If anyone reading this is unsure (as I was) if a COI costs anything, please know that it DOES NOT, and if a company is trying to charge you anything for it they most likely don’t have insurance and/or are trying to take advantage of you. Thankfully I noticed the red flag of how unprofessional his email was without any phone number listed, signature or company name, his request for me to call him without providing a phone number (which he later provided to me but it was completely different from the one I found online). If his email had looked professional to me in any way I might have actually believed that WE are responsible to pay money for the COI as this is all new and unfamiliar to me. I’m glad my fiancé and I educated ourselves about COI’s before going forward with Mr. Washington and wasting our money. Please don’t waste your money or time with this business. I’m sure it will only end in a loss of hard earned money and more stress (and who needs more of that when you’re moving)!

Terrible experience. They raised the price on me in the middle of the job. Damaged several pieces of furniture & berated me when I asked to be reimbursed for the damage. Unprofessional - in fact, this type of behavior from a moving company is really criminal. My sense is they don't have insurance. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Moving has enough ordinary logistical stress; do yourself a favor and avoid the hassle of being scammed.
