Absolute garbage trucking company. Will try to force drivers to violate hours of service rules. Constantly calling drivers and harassment occurs daily. Dispatchers are very disrespectful and annoying. Trailers are pure junk! Stay away from these clowns.

This company is garbage. One of their drivers hit my parked truck. They gave the police an expired insurance policy, and after dozens of attempts to get a hold of someone that can help and empty promises of calling us back, we have to look into taking them to court because they refuse to do the right thing.

Okay, let's start on the upside of power transport. This company is a rather small company with about 83 trucks, but it really doesn't feel like it when one is actually on-site of the institution. It has the financial means to run a productive operation, and provide the driver with absolute support that any driver deserves. My experience on my first time out; after leaving 4/20, for a trip to West Columbia South Carolina, my truck with power transport had multiple breakdowns. It broke down in Villa Rica, Ga, which I stayed with the equipment on I 20 east mile marker 30 for 8 hours, and after receiving road side assistance the morning of 4/21, I continued with the load to west Columbia. After delivering the trailer to FedEx, west Columbia; the truck broke down at 2pm eastern In Lexington where I remained with it overnight, again. Power transport sent two road side services during this period. Honestly, I felt as though the people thought that I was lying about the equipment failure for some unfounded reason. Finally, I received a tow truck the morning of 4/22, on which we dropped the truck off at freightliner and I took a Lyft to multiple hotels (no one took EFS card). I was in Layover status until the morning 4/24. To add insult to injury, my driver manager began negotiating with me about paying for a second night in a $58 motel. This is the worse feeling. Also, no one wants to say it, but it's Facts; Power transport is a memphis based company, whereas Memphis is 63.6% black, and 29.6% white (census.gov, 2016); which leaves one to wonder out of all the office staff employees; there's only one African American within the office staff! Power transport would be better served by focusing on Driver morale, drivers are allowed one $50 advance on Saturday, but it's absolutely like pulling teeth to get an EFS check for this. Also they only utilize EFS checks for all money needed by the driver. Once I actually had to put my own money in the tank to get to a truck stop to get fuel due to the few places that accepts the actual EFS checks. I have also had to catch a Uber across town (utilizing my own money) to cash a EFS check for the hotel I needed due to the break down. Like any company, you allow them an inch and they will take a mile. Of course, I was asked to drive over my hours (14hours) to be exact, I have sat for two days for 150 miles, I have been asked to document my time at the shipper as off duty time, which is unofficially common, but illegal. I wouldn't have complained if I had been allowed 10 hours of uninterrupted break time (this is rare here). My dispatcher was very disrespectful after I literally said these exact words to him "onduty time is all time loading or unloading a commercial motor vehicle, supervising, or assisting in the loading or unloading, attending a commercial motor vehicle being loaded or unloaded, remaining in a state of readiness to operate the commercial motor vehicle, or in giving or receiving receipts for shipments loaded or unloaded". After refusing to continue the day ,basically by falsifying my logs, this company refused to bring me home, & they became very uncompromising with my load plans, I was kept out for nearly 3 days and given 150 miles. In summation, at power transport you will be home for 10 hour break every 2 days, getting a 34 hour reset is like pulling teeth, it's rare to have an undisturbed break, dispatchers take alot of things personal when the driver is only asking for the industry standard, driver's are retaliated against for only attempting to bring legalities to they're work duties, in my experience, the advancement system is broken, drivers obviously aren't sticking together here and saying anything, a family atmosphere isn't only defined by quanity but quality also, paper logs are still standard even though after November 2017 DOT Regs prevents it. In my opinion, the operations manager and equipment manager are pretty much very professional, but that's like throwing sand on the beach. There is no break down pay, no detention pay, and layover pay start after 17+ hr
