Safeway moving was the best and easiest moving experience I’ve ever had. I didn’t have to lift a finger and figure out how to pack. I just flew from my old apartment to my new one and all of my things met me at my new place. The movers unpacked and set up all of my furniture and TVs, and I was completely moved in to my new place in about 8 hours. (4 hours for the movers to unload and set up everything, and about another 4 for me to put away and organize all of my clothes, kitchen items, and bathroom items. Moving is a pain and this was seriously so stress free. will be doing this again. Thank you Safeway!

I got moved by Safeway moving Inc. from IL to FL. This company is very well organized, starting customer service and with the drivers. Ivan and Peter did a great job packing and stacking. I had no damages at the delivery and it took 5 days to deliver right when I needed. I can recommend this company certainly.

I can not warn you enough, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! They are very charming and say all the right things but they lie. They did not fulfill one commitment they made to me. I was promised 1. items would be carefully wrapped and “belongings are packed securely” and with appropriate material as shown in the video they emailed me. They did not wrap my items but instead just threw everything in wardrobe boxes including a chandelier, antiques, a camera and lenses, computer equipment and more. Needless to say all these items arrived broken 2. there would be no hidden fees. Saturday night, 40 hours before delivery I received a call from the driver who said I needed to pay $8108 in cash or money order or they would not deliver my items. This was $558.50 more than was listed on all of the paperwork. I called the company to see if this was correct. They said it was. Then on Monday morning, an hour before they arrived, the driver told me that I needed to pay an additional $200 for a second small truck to deliver my items up my driveway. I explained that I had already been build over $1,000 for this service. They said that because the truck rental was so far from my house they could not only use 1 truck and make multiple trips but that I had to pay for a second truck. 3. they would reassemble my furniture at my new home. They couldn't do that because multiple parts were missing. They lost one of the feet to a footboard that was part of a bedroom set so I could no longer use the bed. They lost nuts and bolts to many of the pieces of furniture and the Peloton. Instead of having these items in the "Parts" box, the box had doggie toys, a dust pan and a cheese knife. 4. they would build a crate to pack my Peloton bike. I was charged approximately $1000 for this. Not only did they not crate it, there wasn't even a box involved. The only protection was that they put ape on the cup holders. 5. boxes would be marked so they could be placed in the appropriate room. Only 2 boxes were marked out of the 50+ boxes. They said "Kitchen." 6. when items were delivered boxes would be carefully placed in the appropriate rooms. Boxes were left randomly all over the house. I packed 70 boxes myself of things that were not fragile, books, clothing, etc. These boxes were clearly marked but left all over my house. 7. Boxes would be placed with the side that is supposed to be up, up. Some boxes were left upside down. 8. Boxes would be left so that I can reach inside and unpack for myself. They staked boxes on top of one another including wardrobe boxes. I had to hire people to lift the boxes and put them on the floor so I could reach them and unpack. 9. I would have immediate access to my Senior Certified Moving Consultant, Scott Curtis if there was a problem. From the very beginning of the packing I was concerned. I repeatedly called, texted and emailed to let them know that the packers didnt know what they were doing but he didnt pick up the phone or respond to my texts and emails. I have emails texts and phone records 10. problems would immediately be fixed. They were never fixed. I wrote them at the end of the first day of packing listing all of my concerns and explaining that we hopefully had time to fix things if different people were sent. They responded that they were looking into it. The next day the same guys showed up. Nothing changed. Again I have the emails. 11. They are not a moving broker and al of their movers are experienced reliable well trained professionals as listed in the email they sent me. Not only were these people not professionals, they didnt even use common sense. For example some of my jewelry were thrown into large sacks and purses while other pieces were left to float loosely around the boxes. Because of this jewelry was broken and lost. 12) Furniture and belongings would be carefully wrapped as shown in the video they emailed me so nothing was damaged or lost. Most of the furniture they moved was chipped. They even put adhesive tape directly on wooden furniture.

Ray and Manuel were the onsite movers for Safeway. They were absolutely amazing and far exceeded any expectation. Firstly, Ray called me while he was en route from Ca to Ut and kept me informed while en route of his arrival timeline; He was incredibly punctual and respected my schedule as well. Ray and Manuel performed the job with humor, professionalism, efficiency, expertise, and with great respect for my families belongings. I was completely satisfied with the packing and moving job that Ray and Manuel from Safeway performed and would highly recommend them.

I would highly advise not using Safeway Moving Inc. I hired Safeway knowing they were veteran owned and I come from a veteran family, and when I made the initial contact they seemed very nice over the phone and didn't harass me with constant phone calls, texts and emails like other companies did. However, I deeply regret hiring them for my cross country move for several reasons detailed below: 1. Their communication is great in the beginning, and then severely drops off as you get closer to your move and while they are transporting your stuff. I would have to call and text my main contact several times before getting a response, whereas in the beginning she was very responsive. I finally gave up and started calling the main line, often waiting on hold for at least a half hour each time. 2. They are not a direct moving company, they are a brokerage firm that contracts out to smaller movers. So you don't actually know who is moving your stuff. And it requires so many lines of communication where there is a lot of breakdown. 3. You won't know when you're stuff is arriving until 1-2 days beforehand which is very hard to plan ahead. I'm not even sure if they were planning to call me, as I called stating that my apartment complex was getting increasingly frustrated with us not knowing when they would need to reserve the loading dock. They suddenly told me they would be there the following evening. 4. Their communication amongst each other is terrible. I was told our movers were coming on a Friday afternoon for pickup. I get a phone call Thursday afternoon with the movers asking if they could come in an hour instead, I declined stating we weren't ready. They then said they would come Friday morning. For delivery, they wanted to come at 3pm on a Sunday, in which I informed them that the loading dock at our complex was already booked and they wouldn't be able to come until after 5pm. I get a call Sunday morning at 7:30am stating they will be there at 3:30pm, yet again, I had to inform them that that would not be a possibility. 5. Multiple items of ours were broken and boxes were in terrible shape. We also were missing shelves to our bookcase and a glass sheet that went over our desk was broken into pieces. See photos attached to this review. 6. One of the movers who came for the drop off was constantly referencing a tip. Upon arrival, before even unloading our stuff, he says "So are you guys planning on tipping before or after we're done?" My husband and I were both dumbfounded at the gall of this man. Later, when we discovered the broken sheet of glass, my husband overheard the same man say "Well looks like we're not getting tipped now". We ended up tipping, mostly because the other guys were good and we didn't want to punish the others for this one person's immature behavior. In short, I sincerely regret hiring this company for my move. My father who is a veteran himself would be ashamed that a veteran owned company treats its customers this way. Perhaps they can take a lesson from another veteran owned company, USAA, who is well known for treating its customers right. If you are looking to hire a moving company, I highly encourage you to look into a direct moving company, and do your research into moving brokers.
