Unfortunately one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor's office. I routinely had to wait an hour to be seen for my appointments with no explanation (even for a virtual visit) and then the visit was obviously rushed. It's not possible to reach the office staff over the phone, only by voicemail or messaging through the portal but still with inconsistent responsiveness. I came to Dr. Williams through a referral with high praise but it's impossible to proceed with care here. The only efficient process I experienced here was receiving my records to transfer to a different physician.

Amazing doctor who is knowledgeable and patient. Asked me a lot of questions and made sure I understood what he was saying. Went through my MRI with me and explained what was happening in great “detail”. First doctor to do this for me. His office staff were courteous and responsive. I couldn’t recommend Dr Williams any more. I’m lucky to have met him.

Where to start?! From the very beginning, this "Doctor" was short, impatient, and annoyed when asked ANY questions (no matter how inconsequential they may be for his ego). Every appointment lasted 5 mins, no more. I always felt so uncomfortable and rushed, and every time I would try to clarify or ask something, he would express visible annoyance and not answer my question. So arrogant, it was seeping out of him. Some random person transcriber in the room, extremely impersonal. Williams had his back to me the entire time, every visit (again, they never lasted more than 5 mins). I am not exaggerating-- Williams literally NEVER called me, never responded to any of my portal emails, and every telehealth appointment or conversation was either with his PA (nice, attentive guy!) and his incompetent, rude "assistant" Susanna Comacho. So, in addition to Williams being completely negligent and dismissive, his "assistant/surgical coordinator"-- NEVER ONCE RETURNED A CALL. If I ever got any communication back, it was via the portal. This last correspondence, I had a surgical procedure scheduled for April 19th. I am a Therapist, and work from home. If I take a day off of work, it takes a lot of time and energy to do so (as I have to cancel and reschedule 8 Clients). So I took the day off, and called Susanna to ask a question. She of course didn't return my TWO calls. So I wrote a message on the portal. That still took her 2 days to return my message. Turns out...they decided to CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME IN ANY WAY! THEY HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR OTHERS' TIME, AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. Such arrogance, it's sickening. Then...she said she could schedule me with A COMPLETE STRANGER...TO HAVE A PROCEDURE WHERE I WOULD BE PUT UNDER ANESTHESTIC. LUDICROUS. To make it worse? This woman had the audacity to blame it on ME, claiming I said that portal communication was preferred (over actual human interaction on the phone)...and yet she didn't return EITHER my portal OR phone question with regards to the upcoming surgery!!!! This is just SOME of the bad experiences I had with this "Doctor". Btw...I had seen another Doctor at Kerlan Jobe, and he was amazing, but didn't perform surgeries. Somebody please take this man and his staff out of the medical practice picture. AWFUL. P.S. Beware of the absolute NIGHTMARE it is to get your medical records/images from the "staff"

I have had excellent care by Dr. Williams. He listens carefully to me during each of our appointments, and takes the time to really think through what steps we should take to help me feel better. I've had a lot of questions throughout my recovery process, and Dr. Williams has responded to all of them in a timely and thorough fashion. His team is great, and the office is very nice as well. Thank you for your care!

You would normally expect compassionate care, and attention to detail and your past medical history when dealing with a pain management doctor, but Dr. Vernon Williams provided NONE OF THAT for my husband. He didn't appreciate it when we tried to provide clearer information on my husband's medical history regarding pain management while pursuing the next steps in his pain management plan. He didn't like it when we had questions about his recommendations even though we were simply trying to avoid redundancies in his treatment. He kept looking at his watch over and over during the 5 minute conversation we had with him. He doesn't like it when we requested a call back because questions arose from that previous 5 minute office consult with him. His assistant didn't like it when we asked her to leave the doctor a note requesting a call back about those questions and insisted that we just needed to come back for a follow-up visit. (even though we live a couple of hours away and both of us need to take time off work to get there). This is another example of how the doctor's time is always valuable, but yours isn't. And then, after the phone call that we finally received six days later, he still didn't quite provide the information we needed and even more questions arose, so we DID go and pay for a follow-up visit before the procedures he had us schedule. He told us that he has patiently answered our questions while he was clearly getting defensive and IMPATIENT about not researching the medical history that we provided to him. He completely avoided some of our questions and got mad when we pressed him and told us that he has released my husband from his care. ON THE SECOND VISIT. We spent a total of 15 minutes trying to communicate my husband's situation over 2 office visits and one phone call and he became completely agitated at us. So, if you want a doctor who listens intently to you and at least ACTS like he cares about you and isn't just going to dismiss your entire pain management history, then I do not recommend this doctor. At all.
