My friend’s movers canceled the night before the move due to a scheduling error and she was very desperate since she needed to turn in the apartment keys that day. In addition, she had a small child on hand, so moving without help would have been pretty challenging. I called to see if they had any movers available the same day, and ended up shocked just by the phone call. The man who picked up the call yesterday morning proceeded to lecture me about the proper moving timelines and went on saying that I am a “Procrastinator” for waiting till the last moment and not scheduling the move 3-6 weeks in advance in the rudest manner possible and hung up the phone call before I had a chance to say anything. Sir, I’ll tell you this, if you were my employee, I’d fire you in a heartbeat after this type of interaction with a client. Given the confidence, I really hope that you are the owner of the business because trust me, with your attitude no one will ever employ you otherwise. Also, please do your business a favor, and hire your weaknesses cause you clearly suck at customer service. Invest in attitude adjustment to improve the business. Even if you don't intend to provide the services you still need to at least be nice and don't make your own assumptions.

If I could rate this experience zero stars, I would. This moving company is only in business due to their military contract, but their service is abysmal. On the day of the move, three movers arrived, only to announce they didn’t have enough packing materials. They then spent their time sitting in their truck, achieving nothing. When I checked, they had only 20 boxes with them. This was a huge waste of my time. I urge Travis AFB to reconsider their contract with this incompetent company.

Currently in the process of moving. They cannot tell us when our stuff will arrive, because they do not do the move themselves. They contract it out to someone else. Given false information and impressions about delivery over the phone. Now they claim the contract gives them up to 30 days to deliver despite being told on the phone it would be delivered on or near my date with no indication otherwise. The movers found reasons to use unnecessary amounts of packing materials so they could charge us an extra $1000 on top of what was quoted. Every time we call, we get the same person, Pauline, who cannot give us any information and acts blameless for giving us incorrect and false information. This is the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever encountered. Do not use them. *update: the date we were given was 8/28/23, our stuff arrived 9/16/23. Upon opening boxes we see that things that we had already packed were unpacked and repacked so they could charge us more for packing materials. They did not use any of the materials we provided such as tape, boxes, etc. In addition we have damage to multiple things. Also throughout the process they could not give any logistical updates on day or time of arrival. What they do not tell you is they are merely a contractor not a service provider. They outsource the actual work to others and have no way of tracking. We were told our stuff left Florida on 9/2, yet our apple AirTag showed that was a lie.

If I could give a zero I would. We moved across the country and had terrible service. Their communication on pickup and delivery dates was awful. They lost a very important box. Customer service was horrible and rude. They couldn't fit all of our things on the truck when picking up our things. They didn't send anyone out to ensure we itemized everything correctly. There were extra fees that were added on when picking up our boxes. They contracted out to another company when delivering our belongings, People's Movers. I recommend this company. They were on time, very kind and efficient. Don't use Best American Movers when moving out of state!
