We had an unfortunate experience with Peluso Movers for a long-distance move from Florida to New Jersey. The only reason we are not giving the 1-star is due to the fact that at least everything made it here, but not necessarily in one piece. Our issue started with 3 days before our move that was planned 3 months in advance with their staff. We received a call asking us to change our move date when we had made plans all focused around the move date that they gave us. They instead came and picked everything up a day earlier than planned (which we agreed to) and instead stuck it all in a warehouse for several days waiting for a driver. They did not provide any status updates and when we called from the road, they passed the buck off to the driver again. When everything arrived, the movers were unable to get our bed up the stairs (we had specifically asked our Peluso mover staff member if it would fit and he had assured us it would). We had to call another moving company to actually get our bed where we wanted it. We have asked Peluso for some kind of restitution for this additional cost and they have ignored us. Boxes that we asked if they were packed properly arrived mangled and some items were damaged. Again, no restitution. If you are moving to/from Naples, FL, we recommend you go with anyone but Peluso Movers.

We hired Peluso to move our two-member family from Naples to Bonita Springs, a distance of approximately eighteen miles. We packed quite a bit ourselves, but we wanted our most valuable items to be professionally packed by Peluso. That was our mistake. The crew who packed us had no idea how to pack our valuables so as to avoid damage, and many items sustained damage. I realized the day after they packed us that I needed a certain item that had already been packed. When I opened the box I thought that item was in, I saw that an antique dresser mirror that had belonged to my mother was not wrapped at all! It was wedged into the box on its side and there was no cushioning whatsoever between the mirror and the side of the box. When I called the Peluso crew supervisor to let him know that my items had been haphazardly packed, he came to our house the next day and did a random check of several of the boxes packed by Peluso. In each instance he determined that the boxes had been poorly packed and had to be repacked, which to his credit, he did. . Shortly after our arrival at our new home, after our boxes and furniture had been unloaded from the truck, I noticed that the glass on our very valuable mirrored-glass living room end table had been broken, and one of its drawer pulls had been smashed. I doubt this end table had been wrapped at all. When I brought this and other items of damage to the attention of Peluso, I did not even receive an apology. The crew had to have been aware of the damage as they were the ones who brought the furniture into our new house…and yet they didn’t tell me about it..leaving me to discover that damage and other damage on my own. When I submitted a claim to Peluso for compensation for the value of the damaged items, I was told that Peluso is only responsible for a small dollar amount based upon the total weight of the damaged items. I was offered an amount that was only a very tiny percentage of the actual loss and told to take it or leave it. I would not recommend them.

We literally moved only two blocks from our previous home, yet Peluso, after packing and moving our household, somehow managed to 'lose' $4,000 worth of original art. When I called them to report the missing items, Eric, whoever he is, told me his employees 'don't steal', an interesting unsolicited statement given I never accused him. I was hoping he'd be concerned enough to ask me for a description and/or photos of the missing items in the event the art had been misplaced; but all he callously said was "Call your insurance company." While it's true we didn't contact them until a few months after the move, we wanted to be certain the items were missing first. We literally had hundreds of moving boxes to unpack. They filled our entire home and garage and we're not young and have no family nearby to help. Additionally, Peluso left many items behind that we discovered when we returned to clean the following day after their movers assured us they got everything. Lots of kitchen drawers were still full and toiletries items left in the bathrooms. Horribly disappointing, unprofessional and uncaring attitude. Insurance could not begin to cover the sentimental and actual value of the items lost. Two blocks, people. In the space of two short blocks.

Hired them based on their being licensed and insured. They were extremely professional and careful in all aspects of my move to another state. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover.

Adam Johnson’s team at Peluso movers were seamlessly efficient. Moving is not an easy transition and each box that was carried out was handled with such care. The crew was so polite and personable and made this experience so easy for our family. I never doubted for a minute my belongs would be cared for in storage. When my belongings arrived at my new house the process was so simple. I want to thank everyone involved for making moving to a new home a stressless experience ❤️ please pass on to all involved our deepest gratitude. Michael and Margaret Frino
