*DO NOT TRAVEL TO THIS COMPANY FOR A JOB IF YOU DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE* Mark, the Safety manager, is not all bad. I honestly think he means well. However, fleet owner, Mike M. is TRASH!! And one of his drivers, R, is a mess! I felt bad for leaving before orientation the first time I was there, but when I saw that white stuff falling from the sky and packing up...I freaked out! So months later, when Mike expressed his willingness to bring me on board again, I was determined to be what he needed, and stick it out (showers at truck stops and all)! But the next day at orientation, Mark expressed concern about me going over the road. This could have been voiced before I paid for a rental and traveled 11 hours straight to Ohio! He said his reason was because he wasn't sure if I fully understood how to record the "hours of service," but that is strange, because when I was out on the road later, I attempted to prove that I understood the HOS, but I was told (by the person I was teamed with) to "just put yourself in sleeper berth when you're not driving!"...WHAT??!! The person I was teamed with was R-so that I could learn more, and to make sure I would be ready on my own. R was a really good coach, but controlling! And at one point, Mike wanted R to drop me off in SC even though half of my things were in OH in the other truck! R had told Mike that I was a safety risk because of my answering calls (hands free calling, as I had my trucker headset)! Though this was my first time over the road, this was not my first time in a truck (box truck, dump truck, cement mixer)...and I had driven a good bit on the highway, have a spotless 10 MVR, and am a safe driver. I had NO scary moments, etc., from my hands free calls, and yet R almost swerved into a large vehicle in the next lane once, and this was without her being on ANY call! If I listed everything that went down (including things that were documented), I would be writing a book here! A lot of this mess could have been avoided if Mike had followed through with his plan to coach me himself! I will state, though, that I fully understood Marks safety concerns after I got out over the road. There was quite a bit to be learned!

I absolutely love this company. I love everyone that works there. Best company I have ever worked for. I absolutely adore everybody that works there.

A broker from this company decided to zero out my load completely because it was a day late (solely due to delays at shipping) and C&M was refusing to pay altogether. On top of that, they had several of their employees leave negative Google reviews for my business after I tried to negotiate with several people at C&M to get paid even half of what the load was worth to at least cover my drivers' fuel costs and expenses but to no avail- therefore my collections agency had to contact their customer for payment which made them upset even though I did let them know MONTHS ahead of time that that's the route I'd have to take if we can't come up with a solution between ourselves. We did eventually receive the funds from the customer, however we do wish all of that could've been avoided. Instead of coming up with any solution, everyone I came into contact with was extremely rude. Very unethical brokerage.
