I had a 400 Lb aquarium to move I was getting discouraged because every mover I called said they would move it but then canceled out. They came moved the tank in no time. I wld definitely use them again. Very professional and polite

My family and I had been planning this move for a few months. I have used professional movers in the past with minimal success. John and company were by far the best movers I have ever used!! I will recommend them to all my colleagues when looking to move. The team who moved me was the best I have ever had. They were hard working, very polite and answered any question I had. They arrived on time and worked almost non stop. Kudos to Chad (team leader), Missy, Dan and Jordan.

Consumers beware! A 1000-mile move of a 3 to 4 bedroom single family home should be @ $4300 according to current prices. My move at 248 miles was half of what would have been a normal single family home, but I was charged over $8700. Price gouging is rampant in this economy, the moving business included. This company came over on Sunday to see I had little furniture, no appliances, more than half of the 1/3 packed. I had another company booked for months, but my daughter found out they would hold your items to extort $$ on the other end. This was Brightline moving out of Florida. So hired DeLaughter's two days before move at gigantic price of $5770. (Figured last minute I should?) They arrived with two older ladies and 2 non-hefty 20-year-olds to do the job and the owner. His main crew of husky guys were at a larger move. At the end of the day @ 4 pm, he began complaining that I said more would be done. I worked with his crew all day and cleared the basement mof junk myself, had it hauled by another company even though he said this would be included. He acted hysterical and said he would take all off the truck & leave. He saw what I had days before and I took every picture, mirror & shelf down before they returned. My home was clean and very organized. His wife then said they would leave if I didn't pay them $2000 more. I paid half then and because closing was the next day, I paid the other half upon delivery including the $2000 to ensure getting all off the truck. I wish I had done more research, been more careful. But I would not recommend this moving company because they overcharge usually I'm sure and the owner is rude. It may be they do this to women more than guys? Not sure.
