I really wanted to like this place. It’s so cute and charming. Whoever is responsible for the decor did an amazing job. The place is a total vibe. We enjoyed the pool and service was great over there. The only thing, which unfortunately is a big thing, that this place lacks is a decent room. When we first checked in I immediately noticed a smell in our room, but figured it was just an “old” smell. It wasn’t until the second day where we noticed a strong smell coming from the shower. At first I thought maybe it was just the water but by day 3/4 the smell was so strong it started to make us nauseas. It looks as though there is some sort of mold by the drain. The sink also did not drain properly which also was kind of gross. While the lobby and pool area were amazing, we will not be back due to the poor maintenance of the rooms. It felt like a motel room.

My husband and i were looking for a getaway somewhere new. What an absolutely gorgeous location The Scott is. It smells amazing, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the rooms are cool and spacious. Their shuttle service makes Old Town accessible and easy. There are so many restaurants and shopping opportunities near by, but definitely not close enough to walk in the heat, which was a let down for someone who would rather not rely on being driven places. There are also limited “fast” options, so you are having a seated restaurant meal unless you drive. I also wanted to respond to some of the reviews regarding the service and pool. Perhaps because we came during the week, but there was always ample space at the pools, and service was incredibly friendly and responsive.

Room was very nice, spacious, and clean. Bed was VERY comfortable! Love the decor and overall vibe of the resort. Makes you forget you are in Arizona when you are in the outdoor common pool areas with multiple cabanas, hammocks, trees, etc. Very peaceful/relaxing. One of the pools has beach-entry with sand, and the hottub is big enough to share without feeling like you're right next to strangers. Bar drinks were delicious but a bit pricey.

My friends and I were looking for a spa day in June and we came across The Scott after a Google search. I really wanted to check it out because it looked like a charming, boutique-style get away and it definitely was! We all scheduled spa services. I had a fascial and I can't remember the specialists name but she was amazing. Very friendly and complimentary. I recommend getting to the pool early if you go on a weekend (we went on Saturday) because the pool does get busy. There are plenty of lounge chairs and the music makes you feel like you're on an island. The pool was a little dirty because of the surrounding greenery. The only criticism I have is with the pool wait staff. They had no sense of urgency and several times, we saw them all grouped by the bar chatting instead of checking on customers. We even had to come to the bar to check on our drink orders after a lot of time passed. They were nice but not very attentive. Definitely be prepared to pay resort prices. The drinks were good and the poolside food was okay. We ate dinner at The Canal Club and that was good! Definitely a beautiful location if you are looking for something different! You really feel like you are in Cuba.

This place is pure ambiance, it’s a retreat from the heat. I’ve staycationed here so many times and have unique experiences each visit. The signature music, scents, and botanical bliss are dreamy. It feels clean and fresh all the time. Our last visit we were so impressed with the lobby/check in staff. So friendly, and ultra accommodating. They just do things right here.
