We had a complicated move, taking things from a rental house and storage room to a location where everything had to be placed in 2 rooms. These guys were great. The owner of the company coordinated everything perfectly. He was flexible when I had to make changes. They are the best movers I ever used.

Great job, we are very happy with our move. I paid exactly as advertised for their hourly rate, plus the deposit. That really made me feel so relieved. 2 guys took a 2 bdrm load very efficiently, and they were very nice. AND they were able to move me last minute with only 1 day’s notice which I am thankful for. Thank you so much!!

Wish I could rate negative 1 million stars. The all time WORST moving company on earth. Booking with them was easy, and communication regarding your reservation is swift/seamless. HOWEVER…….. (for some reference, my sister & I, were moving out of our parents house. moving 2 bedrooms into a 2 bdr apartment on the 2nd flr) Issue #1: We were assigned 2 movers, 1 heavier set man who I believe is from Jamaica, and another skinny/tall man who I believe also is from Jamaica. The skinny/tall man was very nice, and worked really hard to move our things! Out of the two of them, he did 80% of the work. But on the other hand the heavier set man was the definition of LAZY!!! He pretty much handed stuff to the tall/skinny man, and made him do all the hard work, lifting the heavier things and doing most of the tedious stuff. At times he pretty much watched him work. My family even caught him taking a phone call, whilst the tall/skinny man was trying to hand him a TV as he needed help carrying it. To make matters worse, they took FOR-EVERRRRR to originally load the truck (pretty much bc the tall/skinny man was doing all the work alone). So when they finally finished and arrived to our new home, we decided we had to help them (because we were sure they were moving slower to make more money off us. Especially since we only moved 2 bedrooms. And actually even the movers made comments along the lines of “oh, thats it?”) Can you believe when we finaly arrived to the new house to start unloading the things, the heavier set man was in the back of the moving truck handing us (the people paying them to do this!!) stuff off the truck, whilst we (the people paying, and the skinny/tall man) lugged all the stuff upstairs and inside, on a 90 degree day in the summer?!?!? The man even had the nerve to say to me after seeing me pouring sweat and trying to catch my breath “You can take a break if you want” in which I responded, “you guys have taken a long enough, we’ve gotta get the stuff in the house!” RIDICULOUS!!!!! Issue #2: The owner “Hans Barth”? has a terrible attitude and lacks any kind of professionalism. Reminds me of a 2yo toddler throwing a tantrum.. When we called the first time we told the owner “Hans” that only one of the 2 movers were helping….. and all he had to say was “Thanks for your call”. Then when we called again to further complain that we (the people paying) had to jump in due to intentional delayed work, and laziness of one of the workers, the owner got upset at us. (Be mad at your staff, they’re the ones making YOU lose money!!!) In which we stated we would NOT be paying full price for the job done. The owner rudely said he’d adjust the invoice and resend it and then hung up in my face, when I was not finished talking… so of-course…I called back and as soon as he answered, no hi, no how can I help you, instead he said “Im trying to adjust your invoice now, even though it’ll add up to the same price” I immediately told him “don't hang up on me when I'm talking to you!!!! And if you send that invoice back with the same price we told you were not paying, it’s gonna be a problem.. we’re not paying for work we practically had to do ourselves!!!” (Who hangs up on a paying customer, and also as an owner of a business?!!?!?) I also told him hanging up on a paying customer was rude, and not professional AT ALL…..he then replied like a 2yr old and allowed me to say a few more words before hanging up on me again?????….. few secs later for the corrected invoice (by text) so I didn’t bother calling back.. Especially bc if I had to hear him throw a fit one more time… like a child, I would've lost it on him…(reminder - all because HIS STAFF SUCKS!!!) In result, he took the money off we asked (even though I wish i paid $0). And we asked the movers to leave, they were supposed to put our beds together and mount our TV’s but we gladly declined. Overall, terrible experience, unprofessional owner & staff. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!

If I could put 0 stars I would, they Called my production company to do some video promotion at an event for his company over 30 days in advance. We tried to set up meeting to establish work is done correctly only for client to keep us waiting, never show, and have someone else call to cancel hours after the schedule meeting. And a day before schedule event. Owner is very unprofessional and I will not recommend doing business.

This is the third time I use start moving and in the future I'll be using them again first of all the pricing is good they're on time the crew is exceptionally careful with your things and they're courteous and polite and extremely helpful they will place everything exactly where you need them it's truly a wonderful experience I would advise anybody who's moving to try this company like I said I've used them three
