So first the good: the lady at the counter has always been friendly helpful, and moves like she understands people's time. Now, I have lived with a broken mailbox for months, and the postperson's continued to put my mail in a broken box and never reported for repair. I finally show up to this location to report and ask to have the lock fixed. Their response: I can pay them or go with a private locksmith. -- pretty sure that is illegal as it is a box, in an apartment building, and is owned / operated by a federal agency.

There was one lady at the counter. She seemed uninterested and unhelpful in assisting customers, so avoid her. Darwin was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, answering all my questions about shipping options and pricing with ease. His dedication to customer service was evident from the moment we started talking. He took the time to guide me through the whole process, making sure I understood every detail, and even offered some helpful tips on how to better pack and secure my package. The place was very clean.

After dealing with a frustrating and unresolved issue with my apartment’s mail lock box for over seven months, my experience at the St. James USPS office finally took a turn for the better thanks to an employee named Kennedy. Prior to her help, my visits every two weeks and repeated submissions of the key replacement order seemed futile, especially given the high turnover and retirements at this location. However, Kennedy, who was brought in from another station, quickly demonstrated her commitment to resolving customer issues. She took on my case with a proactive attitude, resubmitting the work order three times herself and even involving the station manager to ensure the problem was finally fixed. Her dedication and persistence were truly commendable. While the process was more drawn-out than it should have been, I am grateful for employees like Kennedy who go above and beyond to rectify issues. Her exceptional service has restored my faith in the capabilities of the USPS staff at the St. James office. Thank you, Kennedy, for your outstanding assistance!

usps was supposed to deliver a package to my door but lied saying there was no secure location available and the my package was oversized so it couldn’t fit in the mailbox. they left me a redelivery slip and when i went to the post office to pick up (the day it was scheduled to be picked up) there was a lady who went to the back for one second then came out saying they didn’t have it and to come the next day. i came 2 days later and thank goodness my package was there. this post office doesn’t answer their phones. they are very unorganized and messy. many drivers also do not deliver packages and just give out slips to many residents so a lot of us have to go to the post office to pick up packages because the drivers “could not deliver” the packages. the driver who does my route also keeps giving me the wrong mail which i have to keep sending it back. customer service: 1/5 delivery services: 1/5

They refuse to deliver packages to my apartment claiming there is a lot of theft when other services such as Amazon, UPS, and FedEx do so all the time. They leave slips saying to schedule a redelivery or to pick up. When I’ve scheduled a redelivery, it never happened. And when I tried to change the redelivery again, the system said to submit a new redelivery request and then denied it saying it’s invalid for the tracking number. I tried picking up the package multiple times from the office. The first time, the pick up window lady briefly went to the back and claimed she couldn’t find the package. And proceeded to give me a paper to write my personal info. They didn’t contact me back until a week later. Once I came back the second time to speak to the same lady and I mentioned the manager’s name and where the package was located, the pick up window lady managed to find the package and said she didn’t remember the last time I was there. Also, on the package slips, the USPS office claims to be open on Saturday from 8-12. That’s a lie. I came and they were closed. Waste of my time.
