First off, I honestly cannot comment on their live auctions since I have never been to one due to my work schedule and family commitments. But I have participated in a few of his auctions by placing absentee bids. So my review will solely be based on those experiences. I have been treated very well both by Adam, his family, and another gentleman who did not recognize. The items I have purchased over the years were as described in the auction. If I had my doubts about if something worked or its condition, I called Adam and he answered them to my satisfaction. As far the person who gave the one star review, she must have a bad day before coming there and took out on his business. First off, this is Michigan and winters are going to have ice and snow. ABA is not Walmart. They are only open a fraction of the time and they are not going to spend hundreds of dollars to de-ice a parking lot when it is not needed. The snow was shoveled and rock salt thrown in the necessary places when I was there. I am sure it was done at that time too. The "one star reviewer" has probably walked a lot further than that to go into a department store. If a bidder wins an item, an email will be sent to you if you provided one when you signed up. The computer does it automatically, so either the one-star reviewer did not check his or her email, he or she accidentally deleted it, or never provided one when he or she signed up. It clearly states on the website and at the items list for sale and that all sales are final and there will be no returns under any circumstances. If any buyer is concerned about the condition of any item up for auction, then go to ABA to look at it or contact Adam about it before you bid on it. Otherwise, don't place a bid. The last time I was at ABA was sometime after reading the One-Star review and I asked the gentleman about it. I could tell he was reluctant, but then explained what happened that day. He told me that the person never came to look at the lamp or inquired about it before placing a bid. The gentleman also stated he not could give out refunds and the issue would have to be taken up with Adam. I did not care to know about the rest because it seemed petty and not worth the space to respond to it. I highly recommend ABA to anyone.

This place is horrible to do business with, I have done online bidding in the past and it is nothing like this. For one thing you don't get a bid # and don't even find out if you have won until you go to the place. You see maybe won???? What is that. I went and looked at a lamp it was in excellent condition I bid and when I went to pick it up it had been broken and the gentleman that waited on me said you still have to pay and take it up with Adam. And the parking lot was like an ice rink and the EMPLOYEE was parked closed to the building so he didn't have to walk on the ice just the customers. Done with this place.

15% buyer fee is a bit excessive compared to the other “Gladwin based” auctioneer that provides the same on-line auction service for 10% buyer fee.
