This company is honestly a joke. I reserved a truck months in advance and they call me the day before saying they only have a 26’ truck available (I wanted a van). What is the point of a RESERVATION if it doesn’t reserve you anything? Then they proceed to send me to two different U-Hauls to pick up the truck I don’t want. I don’t have a car which is why I need the van in the first place. I had to pay for multiple Ubers. No compensation or consideration. Do better.

After living at my current place for 12 years, I found myself needing to move and in a crunch. I figured my husband and I would rent a 10' for 2 days to help with making this move a tad bit easier, but I completely forgot that May is move out season because of the college students. The team at U-Haul Burlington not just listened to me vent but they heard my needs and they set me up with a larger truck, still in short amount of time but I was able to make the primary move without multiple trips. Thank you U-Haul Burlington, I appreciate your diligence in working with me and making this move a bit more bearable.

Maybe not specifically for this location, but I reserved a one-way 10' truck back in May. Today, the day before the move, I get an alert from UHaul that my pickup location has changed to somewhere 45 minutes away. The email/text says to call them if that doesn't work, so I do. I tell them I can't pickup a truck 45 minutes away, that I chose Burlington because I can ride my bike. The person tells me that they don't have a 10' at my location, but I can have a 20' but I'll have to pay more. I tell her I don't need a truck that big and ask why if I made the reservation in May there isn't a truck. She said they don't know where the one-way trucks will be ahead of time. Me: "So I just have to figure this out?" Her: "I'm sorry we can't help." Funny in Seinfeld, not so funny in real life. Update 8.17.2024: I ended up calling the place where the truck was supposed to be to get help with planning the pickup. My truck was supposed to be there by 11am. At 5:30p, the nice man there called to tell me the truck never arrived. So I called the VT/MA Uhaul help line and spoke to someone who was much more helpful than the previous person. I explained there was no truck and thankfully someone else had canceled their reservation in Burlington so he gave me that one. At pickup, the Riverside UHaul employee was polite and efficient and I had no other issues.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Made the whole process extremely easy and went through the process of hooking up my trailer in detail while he was attaching it to my truck in case I needed to unhook and reattach it for any reason. The lot at this location is fairly small and crowded, but not sure what can be done there in a busy college town.

Just like a lot of 1 star reviews, fuel is a scam. Charged me $68 for a refueling fee. $30 for the fee and $38 for 8 gallons of fuel. I made a 20 mile trip, how is that 8 gallons worth of fuel? Also tried to pin me for a cracked windshield that was already there. I even took a picture and mentioned it to staff before driving off. Good thing I bought full protection for $30 or else they wanted $657. I would never use or recommend Uhaul to anyone.
