I am extremely frustrated with Adam’s Van Lines! I was moving from Atlanta to Maryland, and they assigned the worst trucking company, Upscale Moving Inc. On August 2nd, the day they were supposed to load my items, they informed me that the estimated price was incorrect and charged me $2,400 more than the initial quote. The dispatcher was incredibly rude, and despite reporting her, my concerns were ignored. I had no choice but to agree to the increased charge. Additionally, they charged me an extra $350 for next day delivery and claimed they didn’t have enough space for all my items, promising to deliver the rest in two days. When they delivered on August 3rd, my father, who was at the new house, was asked to make payment before they would move the items inside. My father also mentioned that They tied my mattress outside the trailer, if it raining that day it would’ve been damaged as well. They charged me $150 for stairs, even though I was moving from one single-family home to another. Upon my arrival on August 7th, I discovered that my dresser was broken, my nightstand was completely damaged, the dining table was scratched, my armchair was broken and many fragile kitchen items were broken. I’ve been trying to contact the trucking company for their claims department and to inquire about the rest of my items, but they are uncooperative. Adam’s Van Lines has also failed to offer any solutions. Initially, I was supposed to pay by check, but the trucking company insisted on Zelle payments, which I completed. However, I have yet to receive the remaining items or any compensation for the damage. They gave me a 7 days guarantee for delivery and it’s been 14 days. Adam’s Van Lines failed me miserably. After conducting some research using the trucking company’s DOT number, I discovered that they are not authorized for interstate operations.

We had a really rough hard experience. "There probably couldn't be a worse experience than this. At first, they quoted a low price and even promised to include a few extra items for the same price. However, when I called them, soon as you sign you can’t get in touch with same person, and make you sign with their on the phone, they sweet-talked over the phone, but when the moving truck finally arrived, they claimed there was too much stuff and doubled the estimated price. They didn't provide any credit for missing items or boxes, just kept adding charges. We had already paid a deposit while in a vulnerable position, so we had no choice but to proceed. The two workers were working very hard, promising to finish within 10 days. When they didn't contact me by the 10th day, I started getting anxious. Upon calling, I found out there was a third-party transport company involved, called family movers and they hired other company jd movers…, now 3 different company with one moving and they didn't even know where the transport vehicle was. I called and emailed them multiple times every day, but they didn't respond at all. After two weeks, the truck driver called to say the truck broke down and couldn't come. Then, a week later, yesterday, the movers finally arrived, but all the cups and plates were broken, boxes were open, and half of them were soaked. Expensive clothes and even a leather sofa were soaked too. This is our first experience like this, and we're extremely bewildered." We have too many damage I don’t even know where to start!!!!

The experience was so bad that I am actually leaving a review to tell anyone considering that it’s not worth your time or money. The process is unbelievably inefficient. I must have exchanged 50+ texts and over a dozen phone calls just to get a quote and to schedule delivery. On delivery day, the crew showed up 8 hours late after having been in an accident earlier. They didn’t leave our house until 2am. Our house was a mess after they left. We spent the entire next morning cleaning the floors and the baseboards and the walls, not to mention the knicks on corners of our walls where we heard banging numerous times throughout the night. The worst part, though, was the way they hooked us. After an unreasonable amount of hours spent with Alex getting an itemized quote, we still somehow got nailed on pickup day. At 2am, once the truck was finally loaded, the driver tells me our price went up $1,000 because the cubic feet was higher than quoted. Now, I’ve been trying to contact Alex about the whole ordeal and he’s ghosting me. When he wanted my business, I was getting texts and calls nonstop and his response time was lightning speed. But now? Nowhere to be found. This whole moving brokerage industry is a shady space. Their way of quoting you and then hitting you with $1,000 up charges once they’ve got your stuff on their truck is shady, dirty business. Don’t waste your time, energy or money. Any other solution you can find will be far greater of an experience.

Great service!!! Thank you soo much to Adams Van Lines. They made the entire moving process seamless to my new home. Excellent sales representative and customer service. Movers where on time and very professional. I highly recommend anyone in need of a moving company to look no further. A million thanks to the entire Adams Van Lines team. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

They are the worst moving company please don’t use. When you call customer service sounds nice but don’t be fooled. Inefficient service they tell you they’re going to call at s certain time and they don’t and I gave them a list of things I was shipping and got one quote then when movers came they had a totally different list so they didn’t want to take my things. It was on a Sunday so they were hard to get a hold of. Then quoted me $1000 more for just a few more items. So I had to leave a lot of things behind. When they were finally delivering my furniture they stated a 18 wheeler was delivering my furniture so if I lived on a small street I had to pay extra for them to use a smaller truck. I ended up renting a storage that could accommodate a 18 wheeler and then they show up in a truck that was smaller and it fit in my parking lot. They mixed my furniture with someone else’s and I had to tell them what was mine so I forgot some pieces for putting my bed together and have been trying to get it back for weeks.
