Advanced Moving & Storage was the worst moving company I have ever used. First, the employees complained upon arrival that they hadn't been informed by the company that my apartment didn't have an elevator, despite this information being clearly stated in the pre-contract paperwork. The moving process took a very long time because the workers kept taking breaks. When they realized that the job would take longer, they demanded prepayment for the additional hours and even asked for a tip of $40 each for three workers at that time. To make matters worse, when the move was finished, I found that four pieces of furniture were damaged, and there was also damage to the walls. When I filed a complaint, I was told that these damages were not covered by their warranty. I absolutely do not recommend using this company. If you have no other options, make sure to get insurance and do not pay any tips until the job is completely finished.

I had a great experience. Matt, Drake, and Omar were professional and moved my furniture and boxes down 14 stairs proficiently. They were very organized and had a system set up. First lights are on and then they walk through and begin. They let me know what time they wrote down and the closing time. I thought that was great since we are paying by the hour. I definitely would recommend them. Cathy

I had the worst experience with this moving company. Not only were they two hours late, but they also made the move slower on purpose so they could charge me extra. On top of that, they ended up breaking several of my belongings during the move. When I confronted them about it, they were extremely unapologetic and refused to take any responsibility. To add insult to injury, they tacked on an extra $700 to my bill for their incompetence and in the name of extra hours. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid them at all costs. Here’s the detail how it went: Firstly, they arrived 2 hours late for pickup. Secondly, they couldn't find my drop-off address and delayed my move by another hour. I had to sit in the truck with them to show them directions. They broke three of my furniture pieces and lost screws for my bed. Two of their movers didn't have a cell phone for communication and kept forgetting their toolkit in the truck, causing unnecessary delays. I had to assist them throughout because my elevator freight time was running out, and to top it off, someone from their team smoked in my apartment behind my back.
