Larry is incredibly hard working and an innovative professional! I was in a pinch with an oversized couch that couldn’t fit through my apartment complex door and when every other moving company was unable to help, Larry and his son-in-law (Shout out to John!) came up with a creative solution to use my balcony to get the couch inside my living room. He’s genuine, fair priced, and willing to help at a moments notice. If you need help moving this is your man!

He helped me move last year and I was out of my old place and in my new one the same day! My new place is a tri-level, so there was no way I would be able to get my couch on the 3rd floor. He took my table and bed frame apart at my old house and put it back together at my new one. Which was super helpful since I had zero tools. And nothing was broken! He handled all my items with care, even my sewing room equipment came over with no issues!

Larry Allen has moved my household five times in the past 25 years. I have an upright piano and some big wood furniture which he has moved through tight hallways with corners, and up and down flights of stairs and over balcony rails and even through windows. He has the experience and equipment to be amazingly efficient. He charged extra after eight hours and when/if he could work on Saturday. Even so, the moving cost far less than quotes from other local moving companies. Also, he is honest and truly helps whenever he can. He does talk a lot on the phone to set up, but it is so he has the right tools, workers and equipment/truck ready. He is reliable, he does what he says, and refers when needed. He shows up on time, completes the work and works incredibly hard to finish. Sometimes he is out of town or his helpers are not available, and there are times when he has work backed up for three weeks or more, so just schedule ahead as soon as possible (he does try to work with customers and he has (amazingly) done three jobs in a row in one day (he had to change helpers after 8 hours). I have had only positive to say or think about Larry Allen's Professional Moving. I highly recommend his work from personal experience with such a professional mover.

Larry is a sweet person but on the business side I was totally disappointed. It took them almost 6 hours to move a two bedroom house. I only got $400 out of the bank because I was under the impression that it would not take more than 4hours to more.....once he was done my daughter bunk bed was not put back together. I guess it depends on who you hire. I came back to my old house today and it still plenty of things that haven’t been moved. He charged me $575 and my husband and I is still moving things from our old place. Larry like to tell jokes and talk and when he does that he stop what he’s doing to do it. He has a worker that’s a smoker. I left to go to the store several times and every time I came back he was outside smoking. I would never use their service again. My husband, ex husband and son help them move me and it still took almost 6hours. Larry did the best he could do but when you in this business time matters especially when you charging $100 an hour. Next time I will use someone who want to finish the job as soon as possible. Communication and telling jokes is nice but not if it’s going to stop you from what you are doing.

Hired him to move a piano. While disassembling and wrapping the piano his truck died. He asked my husband for a jump. He put the cable on the wrong terminal. The power steering on our truck is now out. He did not offer to pay for it to be fixed. We just bought this truck a month ago. There are some missing pieces on the piano that must have gotten lost in transport and he has not returned my call regarding those missing pieces. We also have some serious scratches on the piano from when he was trying to remove the first leg. My husband also had to help him move the piano because he didn't have enough men to help.
