Overall a good experience. Virtual walk through went well. Received an itemized list of items and costs associated with each item. We worked to sell many of the items that were higher priced to move, and we were surprised that the actual moving expense was virtually the same as the “highest price”estimate. Had we known this we would not have sold those items. Unfortunately, we never received a final bill so we could compare the two. The best part of the move was the movers. The Henderson family ( Alan, Toni, Marcus, and Keith) were amazing to work with from packing up our belongings to unloading them 750 miles away. We had not one broken, or missing item. They show up, they go to work, and they don’t quit until they’re finished. Truly great people to work with. They were timely and professional in every aspect of the move.

Our boxes and bins were crushed from employees walking on them. We had many broken items. The employees yelled and cussed at each other. They threw items in the truck. We are missing items. Never , ever, use them again

Allied was a great experience from start to finish. Careful packers and loaders. Friendly and expert driver. Quality communication and smooth delivery. Not all things were assembled completely or correctly, but all in all we are pleased. Thank you!

WORST moving experience ever!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE (in our case $14,000)! It started out well, although we did a big share of the work on the front end by packing everything ourselves. Loading for a cross country move only took them 6 hrs because we’d streamlined everything for them. Upon finishing loading, the driver lamented that he was due to make delivery 10 days later which just happened to be Thanksgiving week. We told him it would be okay to go see his family and we’d wait an extra week for delivery. After waiting in an almost empty house through Thanksgiving we were ready for our things! On delivery day they showed up and exclaimed that they didn’t feel comfortable driving up our driveway in the snow with the U-HAUL they’d rented to shuttle things up our driveway (18 wheeler can’t go up it). This was a surprise to us as we’d explicitly told them we had an uphill driveway and there would be snow since the move was to MONTANA in the winter. They wasted 3 hrs trying to find a 4 wheel drive shuttle truck… so we called the one person we knew in this new town and found a college kid with a 4 wheel drive truck. He picked up a U-Haul trailer and we finally started to unload the 18 wheeler at 2 pm. Notice I said “WE” because I had to use my Suburban to shuttle the small boxes uphill or the job wouldn’t be completed by sunset (5:15). Needless to say the guys were in a hurry, putting many boxes in places they weren’t marked to go. We’ve spent weeks moving the boxes to proper rooms to unpack them. On top of everything I was clearly sick (even lost my voice) but they let me help them. Super professional, right? When we called the main office the next day to ask for some type of compensation they offered 50% of what it cost us to pay the college kid and trailer rental. What an insult to a paying customer. We could have used POD movers for the same experience and for much less. These guys act professional on the front end but don’t let them fool you!!! We DO NOT RECOMMEND Allied Van Lines, Carey (Photo evidence below)
