These movers made my moving experience the worst I have ever had. They arrived 5 hours late. I paid for two movers and a truck and only one of the men did work while the other took calls, stood around, and refused to lift anything. We arrived at my new apartment, they unloaded part of my things and started asking for cash and insisted I pay them or they wouldn't take the rest of my things out of the truck. I paid them and they left all of my things in the lobby of my building and I was forced to move my boxes, my mattress and my other things alone. As I am unpacking I'm realizing things are missing. My couch cushion is missing now and my $1000 West Elm couch is useless without a cushion. Bottom line: they took advantage of me because they could and they won't return my calls now to talk about paying for my couch cushion. They will probably continue to steal from people by pretending to offer a service, not providing that service and bullying people to pay them by threatening to leave with their things. I plan on pulling the videos from both apartment complexes and filing a police report today. This company does not deserve to be in business.

It was terrific experience with this company !!! I had a 3 bedroom apartment for long distance. I spoke with Mike and he was very helpful and polite. 3 people came over and they packed everything in blankets and boxes! I thought something will brake for sure, but everything came in a full condition!!! No overcharges!!! Everything was followed by our contract. I was moving from NY to CA , it took them one week!!! I will deff recommend this guys to my friends who is in NY. From My personal expirence I sujest to tip the movers , before the job starts, so they will be motivated to do a good job for you.

worse experience of my life! I work as a Personal Assistant for a family that was based in Princeton NJ. They were relocating to Tampa Florida. These people were hired to move the family down to Florida from NJ. The biggest mistake of my life! They total lied to me about what they were doing and the time frame that they would do it in! The owner of the company, ''mike'' gave me a price, three times i checked the price and on one occassion, he met with my boss who confirmed the cost. after they took an extra day to pack things, they tried to charge an additional $5000 on top of the agreed price, saying at 10pm in the evening that they would unload the van if we did not agree to it! after they reached an agreement for 3000$ extra, a total rip off, they left with the full house of belongings on the truck. they were meant to be there in Tampa two days later, we saw nothing or heard anything from them for 5 full days! by this point we thought the furniture had gone forever! we also found out that all they did was pack the stuff, they did not take it. they hired someone else to drive it down!! can you believe this! also, our exclusive truck, had the belongings of three other families on it! we couldnt believe it. this company decided to sell space to other people in the truck we hired! the worse thing is that a lot of the stuff arrived broken, smashed beyond repair. some items are missing too. the clothing which we paid to be hung from the closet into hanging boxes, were all wrapped up together and just thrown in boxes, so thousands of $$$ to spend now on dry cleaning! they took things apart and lost screws and bolts, so they are no good any more. we have sent emails and calls and they do not respond! our advice to anyone looking to move is found a different company, these people are total rip off con men who will not give your stuff the care it deserves! To the management of this company, i intend to let as many people as i can do know about your service. I will make sure that you are seen for the bunch of cowboys you are!! and our company lawyers will be contacting you soon if you do not provide your insurance details! (even though we paid EXTRA on top for this also!!!)

WORST COMPANY EVER! If I could give them zero stars I would. DO NOT USE THEM. After multiple delays they finally showed up at 2 in the morning to move my stuff, made me leave items behind they didn't have room for, charged me much more than my quote and had TONS of damage to my stuff upon arrival. I went through a lengthy claims process and was offered $62 for well over $1000 worth of damage but agreed nonetheless and never even received that! Which was a signed legal contract. Contacted BBB and they won't respond to them either. I'm moving cross country again this year and won't use them and will tell everyone I can not to use them either!

I used american power moving to move from NJ to NV. Mike gave me the lowest quote out of all the companies. At first i was little worried but than mike and 2 other guys showed up. They wrapped all my furnitures in blankets. They gave me free boxes for my clothes. I couldnt ask for better service. The guys were amazing. They were very friendly. I recieved my items in NV after 5 days. (I was told it could take 3-21buskness days). I'm so happy that i chose American Power Moving.
