We had hundreds of dollars of damage however we were lied to by the movers in person about what would be covered. I was told over 2000, but they didn’t give a unit. Apparently that’s in cents and not dollars and just the basic 0.60 cents per pound per item default which equates to essentially nothing so we can’t get money back for the damage. While unpacking, we saw that they had just thrown glassware into a box without wrapping anything individually. No surprise that things were broken. Furniture is scratched and chipped. Picture frames broken. Not much care was taken with anything. I included a few photos. We were also overcharged for the distance for unpacking according to my contract. They lied and said it was 50 feet and charged an additional fee and my contract says 75 which was sufficient. The movers were also not prepared to move furniture down a flight of stairs even though it was mentioned in advance and I had to help them move the washing machine down the stairs because they couldn’t do it. I’ve never heard of paid movers needing help like this. Isn’t that a liability? Unprepared and unprofessional. Communication was very poor through the entire process. The office didn’t pick up maybe 15 calls of the 20. Delivery was delayed from what we were originally told by a week and no one was communicating with us throughout anything changing. They were also about 5 hours late to pickup and took almost 2 hours longer to pack than we were told to expect. The delivery was about 4 hours later than the delivery time we were told. I would not recommend them to anymore. Terrible experience all around.

Best experience I've ever had they were on time quick smart and fair prices. This moving company is definitely a hidden gem and people will definitely enjoy doing business with them and best part is I don't have to worry about missing or broken items very professional and I'll recommend the president to use them if he moves.. 5 🌟

When my job moved to south Florida we had everything put in storage in ft Lauderdale. The company that moved us to Florida doesn't do any local moves in Florida so I called apika Van lines and I cannot begin to tell you how carefully they treated my possessions . I asked Alex if they do the same prepping for everyone and he laughed and said of course. Since then Alex has moved me several times and he has also a few commercial moves for me too. If you want anything moved they are the family owned moving company available. Thank you Alex for everything
