Moving absolutely sucks and a customer can always find issue with the moving company. This was true of my experience with Artisan Movers. The movers were really professional and very careful with my items. However, the move was not perfect. My review, most importantly, is based on how well the company took care of the issues that arose with my move. The owner, Mark, was awesome and super responsive. I believe that he is truly focused on customer satisfaction and is committed to ensuring that his company meets and exceeds the level of service that was advertised. I would enthusiastically recommend this company.

Artisan Movers is FANTASTIC. I've moved quite a few times and can confidently say that Artisan Movers were the best moving group I have ever worked with. This was a complex move, and they made the process easy and seamless. Prior to the move, Artisan provided an accurate quote that was reasonably priced. Artisan also sent frequent reminder e-mails and checked in with me to make sure everything was still on track. The move itself was excellent. There was a team of four movers that loaded up all of the contents of our house into their moving truck. The team meticulously wrapped and packaged everything. Our house was a four story townhouse with narrow stairs, but the team managed to navigate the move effortlessly. The team then transported our contents 7 hours away, and unloaded all contents at two locations (a storage unit and an apartment). I would highly recommend Artisan Movers to anyone looking for a short distance or long distance move!

Moving is always stressful and expensive, especially when moving to a new state. However, our experience with Artisan Movers was by far the best we've had in all of our years of moving. After getting a few quotes, Artisan Movers had the best and most transparent price. All furniture was wrapped and packed securely, and when it arrived to our new home, there was no damage to anything. Berlin and Efrain (who unloaded our belongings) were communicative, punctual, polite and professional. I would recommend Artisan Movers to anyone in the DMV area!

They had the lowest estimate for our move by about 50%, and the final price after we had more to move than estimated was still about 30% lower than all the others we got estimates from. It's nice that they charge based on crew, hours, trucks and distance vs. weight, so anything you do on your own to prepare and save them time saves you money since they can get through it all faster. Their communication was excellent, especially in the days leading up to the move, and the crew on-site was professional, helpful and very friendly. And all of our items arrived safe and sound. They even gave us some furniture layout advice as they set everything up in the new place! Highly recommend. Never want to move again, but if I did, I'd use Artisan.

I read many of these reviews and listened to their ads on the radio. The ads convinced me to hire them. I was not impressed. Their ad said that they would handle everything with care. They ripped the doorbell off my old house while taking a mattress out and didn't tell me about it. I saw from a distance while one of the movers simply pushed the screws back in the holes they were torn out of. If they would have told me, I wouldn't have had an issue. Mistakes happen. Additionally, the movers were not careful with my stuff as their ads claim. I watched as they shoved my couch through the door instead of simply taking the legs off. Additionally, they stripped the screws to our bed frame to the point that I can't get them loosened. I never heard back from the sales rep after the move to see how it went. Just a quick survey link. Even after giving a poor review on their customer survey, I didn't hear back from anyone, not a customer service rep, not my salesman, not anyone.. This was a disappointing experience.
