Like all Better Business Bureaus, these are a for profit enterprise and they operate in this way to generate business. When a company answers the complaint, even though the answer fails to mitigate the complaint, they consider this OK and close the complaint which means there are no reprocusions to the company you filed the complaint againsts. That's why there are so many "terrible companies" that have A+ ratings with the BBB. You can see the contrast when you look at the Google Reviews and BBB reviews which contradict the A+ ratings. So there is no value in the BBB as they want profits. It's a scam.

I went through a lengthy redundant process and it didn't seem like I was given human attention. I feel I've been robbed more - now my care and effort to have respect. PayPal is attempting collection claiming they gave my bank 2 refunds of $2,038 and in the dispute they provided a document that only showed one even. I've been harassed because a company couldn't fill an order that was in stock when I ordered. I went to my bank and provided documents to BBB and I got an "answered" result like everything is fine.

Total waste of time dealing with this horrible BBB. They're a bunch of robots! Jazmin is the worst. She's a supervisor, yet she hangs up on you because she doesn't know what else to do, apparently. Raquel is next, can't find anything you send her even though it's right there in black and white. Then there's Marissa, who promises to help you and then doesn't. And of course, who could forget Vanessa, who just puts you on hold for an eternity and ultimately does not help you with anything. This BBB is the absolute worst on the planet, and they should be shut down!

I received excellent customer service from the San Jose BBB team when I submitted an online request for a free business listing for my business. Richard Sanchez contacted me immediately after my request to guide me through getting the listing set up and explain the optional accreditation process. Once I provided my business information, I was handed off to Gus Sinks, the Business Development Manager, because my business operates remotely and does not have a public address or phone number to include in the listing. Gus accommodated my unique business and facilitated the setup process amazingly, ensuring that I was completely satisfied with how my business was appearing in the listing. He was extremely kind and personable despite only communicating through email. I really appreciate how much he went out of his way to provide an exceptional customer experience for me. I learned many valuable features that the BBB offers to both business owners and consumers and will be considering the accreditation for the future of my business. For business owners who may not know, the BBB welcomes folks into their office and they "love visitors" as Gus says! I look forward to visiting sometime.

I submitted a form to the Silicone Valley BBB for help with a complaint. While I know they can only forward the business the complaint and aren't a regulatory body they absolutely refused to help. They told me my request was a duplicate, I had never sent this request to them before. They told me I was filing it against the wrong business, they told me I used inapporpriate language and a few other things. All of this was absolutely untrue. I tried to reach out to their office only to be completely ghosted. I wouldn't waste my time with these people. If you read through the reviews of this BBB others have my exact same experience.
