For the second time in 2-1/2 years, we called on Big Orange Moving to handle all our household belongings. This time we had them load out of our longterm storage in Knoxville and into our newly completed home in Bean Station, TN. It was a long day with two trucks and four guys required for the move. Approximately 8-1/2 hours following the truck arrivals at Central Karns Storage, they pulled out of our driveway empty and exhausted. Dalton, Terrell, Liston and Gage did an excellent and careful job of loading and unloading everything for our 3 bedroom house. They took direction for placement of the stuff with a smile and were very courteous throughout the day. Thank you! And, if we should ever find ourselves in need again, Big Orange Moving would definitely get the call. We will not hesitate to recommend Big Orange Moving to our friends.

Reese, who I understand is the owner, is so shady. You have a contact and an agreed rated? They don’t care. They’ll surprise you with a bill at the end and try to charge you more. They are not very forthright with their pricing. They also showed up to the job with a truck much smaller than what was needed, so we had to rent a U-Haul (additional $600) to get the rest of the stuff. THEN they moved our stuff overnight (without our consent) to a different truck, broke several items and ironically it was a bigger truck - although we were told there weren’t bigger trucks available. Come to find out the owner had stuck a business deal for the truck we initially had so they had to jeopardize our stuff for the money. Just a horrible experience overall. We tried to call the owner, Reese, directly to discuss why our bill was higher, especially given all the false promises, and he was extremely rude and combative. I would highly recommend not doing business with this place.

Do not use big orange movers they will destroy your furniture they claim to have insurance but when You try to call them to discuss damages to Your furniture they will ignore your phone calls!!! They claim to have insurance or they try to sell you the package for extra insurance but yet when they damage furniture they Don’t want to discuss anything with you to claim it on the insurance!!! I would give them a zero if I could you pay for professional movers you expect professional movers I could have moved the stuff myself and damaged it. I didn’t want my furniture damaged so I hired them for $2700 and this is what I get damaged furniture and them ignoring my phone calls

Reese and Jamon were right on time, worked fast and very friendly and pleasant to work with. They were taken by surprise to see that I also needed to move a big and heavy piano, but were not daunted at all. They called another of their colleagues and the three of them did it. They did a great job! The pricing is good as well. Would highly recommend this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They just cancelled on us the SAME DAY OF THE MOVE. We had to call a new company, who they said they were working until 10pm the last night because Big Orange Moving walked out mid-move on a family. Reese is a spineless loser who has ZERO redundancy in his crew. Not to mention, these are not local movers! They are in KY so if something goes wrong, they are worthless to help. Look past all these 5 star reviews for what could actually happen to you. There are so many better options in Knoxville. Don't give these people a penny.
