To Fred Pickett, Frieda Melvin, and Mike Payne knocking it out of the park in getting EVERYTHING packed in the truck very efficiently then off and in the house right where it needed to go despite the smaller doorways and stairs (sorry guys🤦🏽‍♀️🙂)...Lol. They did all of it with very pleasant, jovial attitudes. Would highly recommend Black Tie for any future move. Pricing was thoroughly discussed and matched what I was quoted...I Like That!!!😁

So you may ask yourself why pay movers? I've asked this question many times, but always came back with the same answer..."I'll just do it myself." A few weeks ago, on a whim, I decided to look into the cost to see if it would be worth it. So, with a limited budget and an even more limited timeline, I didn't go into it with much hope. After doing some research I came across Black Tie Moving and decided to give them a call. I was shocked on how quickly they responded and came to give an estimate (within an hour of calling). It was an easy decision financially when you weigh the cost incurred with moving trucks and feeding "free help." The best part of Black Tie are the movers themselves. Have you ever wanted three friends that are really strong, extremely organized, and always in a good mood to help you move? That's what you get with Black Tie. The attention to detail is second to none (no scuffs, marks or broken items). Everyone from Luke to Troy to the moving staff was very professional and easy to work with. Thank you again for making a usually dreadful task into a pleasant experience. I highly recommend if you are looking to move you give Black Tie a call!

After I researched around for many moving company, I decided to pay a little bit extra more with hope to get a good moving service with Black Tie cause the company had a great advertise and review online. But until I did experiences with Black Tie moving on 01/17/2020, I would rather not to choose Black tie moving at the beginning because a few reasons below: 1/ Movers were not on Time arrived to my home as Black Tie Rep. said it should be from 8am-9am. Movers were not showed up until 9:45am. 2/ Number of Mover were not correct at 3 movers. Only 2 movers were showed up at my house. Again. this was not exactly like the Rep of Black Tie told me on the date I paid for the deposit for the service on 1/13/2020. Black Tie only sent the 3rd mover came to my house until they figured out I had more heavy items and boxes that I need to move. The 3rd mover did not showed up until an hour later on the same day. 3/ Movers were not fully carried big items like dressers by hands go upstairs at the movers should do. The movers of Black Tie put the big dressers item on the dolly and tried to pull the dolly on each stairs of my new home. The dolly scratch the new paint stairs off when I tried to told the movers please do not roll the dolly on the stairs because heavy items would scratch off the paint and broke the stairs nose. The Black tie's movers did not cooperate with me so the result paint came off. 4/ Attitude of the movers were not professional as the advertise. When the movers showed up at my old house, they told me that only big major items needs to move, no boxes so not enough movers. But when I talked to the Rep. of Black Tie on the 13rd of Jan.2020, I already mentioned about the items needs to moves were dressers, beds and boxes. So, the movers were upset because I had boxes need to move when I already wrapped everything in the boxes for the movers. 5/ Customer Service was not great because I did discussed on the phone and sent photo with text to Troy to mentioned about the paint of my stairs came off because the dolly. Troy said he would stopped by on 1/20/2020 to took a look after I sent those pictures of my stairs. But no one reached out to me on 1/20/2020 to follow up about my complain about the paint of my new home stairs. Conclusion, I would rather choose a different moving company instead of Black Tie.

This company is amazing. We had 3 movers, McKinney, Shawn, and Sam recently helped our company move some furniture around the office and the guys worked very quickly yet carefully. They made the work look much easier than I'm sure it actually was. We do not have any elevators in our office, so the guys actually took the desk apart and carried them piece by piece up to the second floor! I would recommend this company to ANYONE looking for movers and will definitely book with them in the future.

We hired Black Tie Moving Company to move us from Frankfort to our new house in Louisville. We told Manager Troy the scope of the work, square footage of our house, agreed to the estimate, and they said they would be able to move us at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The day of the move, my husband called to check on things since we hadn't heard a "hey we are leaving Louisville see ya soon." Troy told us that he lost two employees today and gave us the new time table of 1:30 or 2. Not the most convenient but we said okay, we can be flexible. My husband called and checked in at least two other times and each time the time table moved from 10 to 1:30 to 2:30 and then to 4 p.m. and finally to not coming at all. Manager Troy told my husband that his employees have been working 18 hour days and they are exhausted, but they could be here 10 a.m. on Monday. I told my husband to fire them this evening because I had severe doubts they would even show up tomorrow. Clearly, this company has larger issues than showing up to our move. They have personnel issues, apparently scheduling issues to accommodate so many clients, and the employees working ungodly hours to try to make it happen. I would have respected Troy if he called at 10 a.m. today or yesterday to tell us the situation and said they could accommodate us on Monday and apologized for the inconvenience, but it was my husband who had to call him with updates the entire time. We got a pretty good picture about how Troy does business, and I don't like it one bit. Do not trust this company! I am going to make sure everybody I know knows about Troy and how he takes care of business so they aren't left high and dry either. I don't anticipate this company will stay in business much longer with the way it's managed.
