One of the worst experiences we have ever had. 2 of the 3 workers did work hard but expected good tips because “they would take care of us” They got a 1 rating because father and son were polite and hard workers and the son quickly and kindly offered to hook up my internet and WiFi. It was helpful and very much appreciated. The 3rd worker worked first day( they needed 2 days due to needing additional truck and bad weather). He avoided doing work whenever possible. My husband gave him his recommended $100 tip before he left because we were told he was not coming back next day. He then came back knocking on our door as they were getting ready to leave and asking my husband “hey, you got something for me”. My husband told him he already gave it to him but not being able to prove that we gave him another $100. It was not their fault that management was not willing to be more honest and reasonable with their costs and not repairing damage done. They made sure to specifically specify that they expect tips and requested at least $100 each per day. First they they hit under our roof and gutter with their truck right after my husband told them to watch they don’t hit it. We required 3 moving trucks- 1 more than we planned and were quoted additional $100 on phone. Our $1800 move ended up costing almost $3000. We were told they would take care of damage they did with truck. When we asked when would they repair it we were told “they gave us $250 credit off our bill!” Movers ended up dumping many of my craft beads everywhere( they were boxed and I taped all the containers closed). They are now all over our garage and basement and probably everywhere in their truck. Do not use them!!!! They will charge you for much more than they say!!! Poor customer service.

Do not use this company and if you do...make certain the truck size and drivers are on site before signing the contract! Read the contract in detail...Do Not Rely on what the initial Agent Quotes! This Company Knows Your Back is against the wall and will charge you High Prices as a result! No Integrity!!!! RUN!!! I booked this company for a local move and confirmed with the agent, no leas than four times, that I was getting four men and two 26 ft trucks. I also understood that each truck would have a $269 dollar upfront charge and the clock would start once all items were loaded on the truck. At that time I would be billed $199.00 per hour at a minimum of three hours. I was never informed that the $199.00 was per truck... The lady was clear that my cost was NOT $199.00 per truck. There were several ancillary charges! On the day of the move, ONE 16 foot truck with two men showed up to move a 3800 sq ft home. The initial cost to get started went from around 538.00 to 917.00!! This is before they moved anything!! When I called to speak with the lady that quoted me the lower cost... I was THEN informed that “Dispatch” sets the prices not the wonderful lady I’d spoken with 4 times. In the end...I didn’t sign the contract and had to call around town at 11:30 am the day of my planned move... to find two 26 ft uhaul trucks and pay friends to move me!! It was a rough day!! Do yourself a favor and find another company!!! You’ve never heard of this company?? There’s a reason for that!!!

On 9/20/20 we used Blue Oak Movers to help us move a 4 bedroom home within the same city. Our two movers arrived at 10:30am and I proceeded to show them around the house and what would need to be moved and disassembled and what was to be set out to the curb. One of the movers told me that he would set out items to the curb for another small fee which I was surprised about because I was told it was a courtesy when I spoke with the scheduler. He said fine after I told him I believe it was included. He then told me he never dismounts TVs even though I confirmed with Tarissa that the movers would be able to dismount TVs. All in all, I was not very confident in his moving skills after this but I assumed Blue Oak would send someone with experience per their website and per the scheduler’s words. In taking apart our master bedroom, there was damage done to 3 drawers. We were told they would not be taking drawers out and instead shrink wrap everything. The shrink wrap was NEVER used on any pieces. Our clothes were just carried out with the drawers. If I was told to empty the drawers I would’ve taken more caution with my clothes but I was not asked and just saw them carrying drawers out of the house. One mover did all the disassembling and the other carried things out. Later, my husband asked the second mover why he didn’t help in disassembling, he told my husband that this is NOT his job and he was just called that morning to help?! He said he is NOT a mover! I was appalled and concerned that Blue Oak would just send anyone into homes to move things when we were told that they only send professional movers with experience. Then we realized all of the damage to our old and new home. I believe this would not have happened if we had 2 experienced movers. Our old home had damage to the stair walls and banister. At walk through with the next owners, we agreed to pay them $300 for all the damage. In our new house, multiple wood stair treads were damaged by the dolly used by the movers. After the first attempt to move something to the basement, my husband had them place the other basement items in the garage instead of risking more damage by these 2 "movers". We also have multiple scrapes on the hardwood floors at the entry. The lead mover took pictures of the damage on his phone and told us that he would forward them to his supervisor and someone would call us the next day. Well no one called to follow up with us at all after the move. To top this all off, a shelf that we had asked to go to the curb still made it back to the new house and we had to take it out on our own. We had multiple items to move to our basement that were sitting in our garage because we did not want them to ruin more of the wood floors and stairs than they already damaged. We ended up hiring and paying another mover $200 to finish the job (resulting in zero further damage to our stairs). Our bill was close to $1000 for a partial 4 bedroom house move to the same city. That is not a deal and it is definitely not inexpensive so I expected a professional move with TWO experienced movers. We did not get that. I attempted to get all of this resolved through the company but I have only received a run around from multiple people telling me to email them and text them but then no follow through. This is the only reason I think it warrants a review right now. So fair warning- only book this company if you want damage, shady movers with no experience, and no follow through or accountability from the company.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! Do not hire this company for ANYTHING! They are underhanded, flat out thieves and do not deliver even close to what they say they will. You may as well rent a truck go and hire 3 people off the street because that is EXACTLY what they do and then they take payment In cash AND unlawfully charge your credit card that used to make the 100 deposit they tried to charge the card for over $1200 before the job was done when they KNEW we were paying cash because of their extra 5% if you pay with a card. That charge was rejected so then they charged $999.00 to the card and lied about the whole thing! I wouldn’t hire them to store, move, touch anything I own and neither should you!!!!

I GIVE ZERO STARS !!...started.."OPPS" dropping my boxes of glass wear...im missing boxes. I had shrink wrapped some of my things already ..they wrapped unnecessary furniture that didn't have any drawers and shrink-wrapped a miscellaneous box so they can claim the $26 on the contract . They don't show you the whole contract until the end of the move . Then the kicker...they (movers) asked for a $90 tip each but because I didn't give them what they wanted they started taking my stuff ..I called the company. But the movers already knew their plan..WHICH WAS PROBABLY THE PLAN ALL ALONG... And other boxes and miscellaneous boxes. #2 owner in on it...HE HUNG UP ON ME..SAID HE'D CALL ME BACK..of course he didn't. movers will take pictures of empty cab and truck and this is there proof. Have more people with you to watch outside and someone inside. Temporary rent storage to protect valuables. Only move "furniture". Used my empty containers to go through and take. I had three movers (?) one to go through my containers as they moved them in...make sure you check the truck before they leave. Secure containers with more than tape. Mark them with a code only you know so they don't know which is yours, your family members. Move electric/personal items ahead of time..xbox PS..PC. Lastly read/ understand what your contract says.. They charge every 15 minutes ... (something like$159). And they already have your card on file from start with $100 down. I only imagine what I COULD have lost if I hadn't done the steps I did do before hand. SINGLE WOMEN BE WARNED((they don't see a man around) Put your stuff you want to keep away first(storage facility). Or rent a truck and take your time...change locks to new place asap or have trusted people to sit. I should have followed my first mind and paid my oldest friends to help. Shop around.. READ THE REVIEWS...there is truth. I should have used the people my lenders helping me recommended. Instead of. Small claims has gone up ($6500) but you have to really prove your case. Movers know this..but they know how to get away with it too. I sorely regret using this company all together. Lastly if you can...DON'T USE "THEM" AT ALL. ESPECIALLY in these times..There's a special place for people such as this. I couldn't wait for them to leave. Once he read the contract..I knew something was seriously wrong. Im like what the what??!! But I was told this and I was told that!! Its whatever is on the contract that matters🤷. I usually would move myself. Lugging heavy furniture is not easy.I gave in to "let someone else lug this stuff. This was my first time using and my last. Im not talking about $500 or 800⬆⬆⬆...that 15 min is the money maker.
