We had a very upsetting experience this week with Usko Express, Inc. A driver showed up to pick up a load of blueberries from my place of business and while backing into our loading dock, he swung too wide and collided with our building, tearing off sheet metal from the side of the building in the process. The driver vehemently denied it, even though I was in my office and felt the impact to the building, as did our production manager, who came out of the packing facility to see what had happened because she had felt the impact inside the building. I politely asked for the driver's insurance information and he refused, denying that he had hit the building. I told him that I would not be able to load him until I had the insurance contact info. He became irate, accusing me of running a scam because some of my sheet metal was already battered (from a previous driver in a previous season) and because I did not have video proof of the damage that HE caused, he refused to provide me with insurance info. His dispatcher at Usko called and as soon as I said hello, he immediately started yelling at me over the phone, accusing me of being a liar and told me that I should just shut up and load his driver already. We do not like to work with abusive companies like this so I informed him that I would not be loading his driver and I would find another truck to haul this load. The cost of the sheet metal aside, I no longer trusted Usko to handle my product as they had shown themselves to be so hotheaded. The driver continued to berate me and accuse me of scamming him into paying for new sheet metal while I calmly asked him to provide insurance and when he refused again, to leave. I got another call from his dispatcher again at Usko, who continued to verbally assault me, telling me that he was going to send the police to investigate the situation because I was running a scam and that he was going to ruin me because I was refusing to load his driver. I would sincerely advise against working with this company, who, in my personal experience, is staffed by folks who are quick to anger and very unreasonable to interact with.

When you are all about the "service" and "details" this is the transportation company that stands out above the rest! The proactiveness, communication, and security gives me stability in my supply chain.
