CONSUMER BEWARE: BROOKLYN MOVING IS A NIGHTMARE MOVING COMPANY THAT YOU SHOULD ONLY HIRE IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED, STRESSED, AND WANT YOUR FURNITURE DAMAGED. You should only hire Brooklyn Moving if you want to: - Pay more than TWICE the amount they quoted you for the move; - Wait around your house for DAYS (yes, days) for them to arrive to pick-up and drop-off the furniture because they will give you false delivery times and have an incomplete inability to give you an update on where their driver is; - Want to have to call customer service every few hours to figure out where you furniture is, only for them to yell at you for calling often even though they are unable to tell you where your furniture is, what is the cause of the delay, and when your furniture should be arriving; and - Want your furniture to arrive at your new home badly damaged (pictures attached) or stolen, even after you pay $1,000 for them to pack and wrap your items for you, only for them to direct you to their link to file a claim when you tell them about it. Timeline: - I worked with a virtual estimator to get a quote for my move. When the driver showed up to pick up the furniture, he made me sign another binding quote, claiming that this was standard practice. This number is nearly DOUBLED the quote the rep gave me from $3,761.29 to $7,180. - May 5th: Movers were supposed to come in the morning on 5/4/2024. I called repeatedly and waited all day for them to come, with the rep claiming that they were on the way to San Francisco when they were not. It wasn't until the end of the day on 5/4/2024 that the rep contacted me and told me the drivers would come THE NEXT DAY as the first. On 5/5/2024, I waited all morning and the movers did not arrive until 3:30pm, finishing up at11pm that night! - No one knew where my belongings were for days and was unable to tell me when the furniture would come. - Someone then called me and told me it would be arriving to Vegas on Saturday, 5/11/2024. Then I received another call telling me it was coming to Vegas on Monday, 5/13/2024. - Another representative told me this information was incorrect and that my furniture would be arriving to Vegas on 5/12/24. I wait ALL day and keep calling about the status of where the movers are and the rep finally gets an update at 3pm and tells me the driver was sick so there would be no delivery. May 13th: Customer rep starts SCREAMING and still unable to tell me where exactly my items are and when it will be delivered. May 15th: Movers finally arrive but most of my belongings were badly damaged or missing, including the below. The mover himself said it was one of the worst packing moving jobs he's seen. 1. Broke computer monitor - huge crack in monitor (picture attached) 2. Missing apple AirPods 3. Punched large hole bottom of the couch (picture attached) 4. Broke standing desk - chipped off large piece of wood and standing function won’t work entirely (picture attached) 5. Broke bar cart - Wheels of bar cart fell off and won’t come back on (picture attached) 6. Broke shoe rack - missing 3 wheels (picture attached) 7. Missing box full of alcohol, including expensive Japanese whiskey 8. Leesa mattress sliced (picture attached) 9. Didn’t wrap dining chair, footprints and stains on it (picture attached) 10. Tape stick on back of large mirror (picture attached) 11. Missing racks to bed frame (picture attached) 12. Base of dining table messed up by the tape (picture attached) 13. Reassembled dining table incorrectly, extremely wobbly tabletop missing the washers for screws (picture attached) 14. Broke vanity organizer (picture attached) 15. Broken martini glass (picture attached) 16. Missing remote control for TV 17. Missing 2 large trash cans 18. Broke office file organizer - missing large sliding tray

Our experience with our recent move is beyond horrific. Upon arrival of our items from California we noticed that many of our boxes and large items were severely damaged. Not only were many of our items severely damaged, there are several items that are completely missing! The negligence of how are items were handled is simply beyond unprofessional. For example, the feet on our couches were completely ripped off and broken into countless pieces. The handlebars on all of our bicycles were simply ripped sideways to make more room therefore stripping the inner threads. My motorcycle was secured around the fender which was completely ripped off! dressers were tilted sideways causing all items to shift and many drawers would not open and had to be taken apart. Dresser drawers are busted, handles missing, cracked and bent frames, random pieces of furniture were found all over our house, the list goes on and on.. Boxes that were clearly labeled with fragile stickers arrived at our house severely damaged, ripped apart, and placed in our home upside down and stacked high on top of each other This was not the case of how they were originally loaded as I was there and saw the care that was given upon originally loading the items. The problem seems to be that due to thier logistics as all of our items were loaded, unloaded, loaded again, unload again then load edit unload it for a third time! Also, upon the original loading many of the bookcases that were filled with storage boxes were taken out and shipped independently therefore doubling our shipping cost on what was supposed to be a filled piece of furniture that was shipped empty! In addition to the many damaged items the inexperienced movers hired to unload the truck also significantly damaged our home that was recently renovated. Walls and door frames were scraped, scratched and banged up! We paid to have our items handled with care disassembled and reassembled in our new home. Not only were most items handled with sincere mishandling and neglect, most all furniture arrived broken and with missing parts. In fact the movers who were unloading our items did not assemble one piece of furniture because it was either broken or the parts were missing. In fact they were asked to come back two days later to try to assemble some furniture which had to be put together with wood glue! Most of our furniture is damaged beyond repair. Upon further reflection of being contracted from our original broker to work with Brooklyn it is apparent that we were forced to take the waiver of insurance option. The document they provided digitally provided for signatures only defaulted to the second section and when the mover arrived at our house he checked the box for me to initial which was again in the second section. I have countless pictures and an ongoing list of damages after damages. And as we continue to unbox items we find further breakage and damage. I now have to deal with filing a massive claim and see if/when/how we are going to replace these items so we can actually live comfortably in our home! The money we paid them to move would not even replace all of the damages caused by these movers! We are simply in disbelief at how much neglect, mishandling and lack of care went into our move. We intend to file complaints with the Better Business bureau, California consumer affairs and National Consumer Complaint Database.

DO NOT recommend-poor service and inability to complete contract. My move was contracted for delivery to a storage unit and a residence. I was told that I needed to confirm access, which I did. However, no one checks the addresses ahead of time and if the driver doesn't agree, then he can do whatever he wants and in my case, he flat out refused. He told me that the contract was good for the company but not for the driver and he wasn’t going to do it. Driver was not experienced enough to deliver to either location and I was given less than 24 hours to find an alternate location or face additional charges. Driver claimed trees were the issue despite the fact that public storage manager confirmed access and the residence is accessible with personal experience of large moving trucks. Since the additional stop was in my contract but was not being honored, I asked the office to inform the driver and send me an updated contract—neither was done, which created a big issue at delivery. The office did not inform the driver and he required me to pay for the service upfront before unloading even though he wasn’t going to do the job. He was also extremely aggressive about it. I did get the money back after repeatedly calling the office, but unnecessarily stressful. Overall, the driver with AJ Express was rude and very unpleasant. At delivery, he sat in the cab of his truck and didn’t help with anything. I was the one checking items from inventory list. He tried to charge me for moving blankets that were mine. The office also tried to overcharge me for additional services. While they delivered by the final allowed date, they only had a couple days to spare. You need to be available every day from your first available delivery date plus 21 days because you really only get 24 hours notice of when the driver will arrive. The office will also not give you any status updates throughout the process except for the day it can be loaded. I would never use them again.

Broken bed completely destroyed lack of concern no explanation. This was the main issue lack of care and not even letting me know as well. The other half of the bed is missing. Further more I am still waiting on the results of your updated claim.and yes I can provide recipts of the correct cost of the items you claim were not destroyed in your warehouse
