So many reasons not to rent here. This is not even the location for renting a truck, they moved across town & didn’t bother telling me when I called the morning of my pickup. Terrible customer service. The guy was on a personal call the whole time I was picking up. I was told I needed to remove my car from the property & leave it on the street. The truck has the check engine light on & I was told not to worry about it as “it’s been on for many days.” There’s no back up camera in the truck. I could go on & on as to why I had a bad experience here, but at some point it’s just obvious - don’t rent here.

Very bad rental policy. When you make a reservation, their policy states that the availability of the truck is not guaranteed, while you'll still be charged $75 for such a "reservation" if the cancelation happens within 2 days before the pick up date. This is not reasonable. You either ensure the availability of the truck for the reservation, or you should not charge the cancellation, you can not do both.

We reserved a Dodge Caravan in April for a trip we were taking in June. Unfortunately that vehicle was not available. The manager/owner of the Santa Clara Budget Rental went above and beyond to find us a comparable vehicle. He drove all the way to Hayward to find us a Town and Country for a trip, because we needed a vehicle with hideaway seats. Thank you so much for you efforts. It was greatly appreciated. I would definitely rent a car from this facility again. The staff was very helpful.

BEWARE OF USING BUDGET!!...I was Moving and deadline to get out of house so, 10 days previous, I made reservation on line at budget website. Locked everything in and planned my moving day. 48 hrs. before I was to pick up truck I called to confirm and was told there was no truck available. I called corporate website location, where I made reservation and they assured me I would have a truck waiting at a different location. 24 hrs. before I was to pick up truck I got a call telling me that location did not have a truck form and that I should go find one elsewhere. I called corp. and was left on hold first time for 20 minutes and the second time for 15 minutes. I then called U-Haul and they bent over backwards to get me something to use. I will never use or recommend Avis Budget for any services ever again. I plan on spreading the word how disconnected their website is from locations.

Rented a truck from here, but theres no place for you to leave your car! How are you supposed to pick up a truck if you can't leave the car there!? When I wanted to cancel my reservation, I was told it would be $60 to cancel a $15 truck. When I picked up the truck, I was told to ignore the tire pressure monitor warning as the "pressure can go up or down significantly due to the temperature". I soon found out that one tire had an audible leak after loading it with furniture. Aside from that, I dropped the truck off promptly at 8am and was charged 3 days of usage and late fees after reviewing my receipt. I was refunded my money and given a gas credit as a courtesy for the trouble, but had I not reviewed my receipt, I would have lost a good amount of money.
