The worst moving company ever! We paid $40,500 from San Diego to Fort Myers, FL and they lost and broke 70% of our stuff. They quoted us a price then moved our stuff by the driveway before loading it in their truck and then quoted us double until we agreed otherwise. They were going to leave our things on our driveway overnight... like how would we carry all our furniture back into the house by ourselves? Red flag! But we already gave them a deposit so we were stuck. They did the same thing to us when they delivered our stuff in Florida. They left our things on our driveway in the rain and tried to hold our stuff for ransom inside their if we did not pay extra when their contract stated to be moved out of the old place and into the new house. Photos says it all! This company should never be in business.

I had a terrible experience with this company. On the day of packing, they attempted to increase the price fourfold, citing triple the estimated time and bringing an additional worker whom they insisted I pay for. As someone experienced in moving and estimating costs, I was shocked to find the final quote for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom house to be over four times the initial estimate. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I strongly advise against using this company for any services. This was an awful experience that I hope no one has to go through that reads this review.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. EVER. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. They are liars. The original quote I got was just over 2k from CA to NV. They showed up to my house the day of the move and demanded 9k and half up front for the moving. And they demanded cash at that, which is not okay. I lost it. I had no options so I told them to move my stuff. This move was supposed to be direct and show up on May 1st to my storage unit that they were paying for. They left all my things in CA and proceeded to give me the run around about where it was. The day of delivery (today) they demanded me to pay them prior to inventory of all of my stuff, and I told them absolutely not you are PAID IN FULL. These people are a scam. They don't have insurance, and their licensing is suspended. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY LIE, CHEAT AND WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND FOR DAYS AND CONTINUE TO LIE. I hope they get suspended. Trying to say they "only take cash". These people are huge scam artists. Bye bye.

My experience with Cal State Movers was devastatingly traumatic. I booked my long-distance move in June through a broker called Value Added Moving, who then contracted my move through Cal State for August 8th, 2022. I paid over $4,000 for my long-distance move from Texas to Montana and did not receive my delivery until October 17th... 2 MONTHS LATE. They only delivered FIVE of items, ALL of which were damaged and missing parts. My bed frame is missing 2 out of 4 banisters as well as all of the slats to build it. My coffee table is missing it's glass top. My bedside table is missing its knobs and is filthy. The rest of my items (containing everything I own) are missing and no one can locate them. I have not been refunded for the money I paid for the move nor have they refunded me for all of my missing belongings. The pictures below show the condition of my furniture that was delivered to me.

Moving with CalState was an awesome experience. They confirmed several times before the move to put my mind at ease and showed up on time. The foreman and his team did an excellent job at staying on time which saved me money, handling packages carefully, and just being friendly guys. Big thank you to Rolando, Manny, Mike, and Alan. Would definitely recommend and hire again.
