The folks at Carey are fantastic! Wanda, my move coordinator went above and beyond to help me out with some unusual restrictions at my new condo building. Communication was great and the process was smooth and easy. The packers and movers were professional and polite and did a thorough job quickly. I highly recommend Carey!

Carey Movers are NOT recommended. Their movers were unprofessional (went in our refrigerator without permission to store their drink), unprepared (arrived with no tools), and untrained (did not cover all furniture)! We’re still in the process of redeeming a claim for all of the damage done to our furniture! Specific example: one of the guys placed our wooden dining room table face down on the kitchen tiled floor to remove the legs! He placed nothing on the floor to protect it! These guys should NEVER have been sent out without skilled supervision. They left the walls marked up (which we had to pay for), had to be told that playing rap music with profanity was unacceptable, and one was even smoking in the back of the truck where our boxes were being piled up! The movers knew they had damaged our stuff because the next day when they were to delivered our items only one of the guys returned from the previous day; the rest of the crew was a different set of guys. When we asked where they were and what happened we got shrugged shoulders & grumblings about ‘they didn’t show up’! Carey’s claim process is also horrible. It’s been over a month now and we’re just getting things finalized, but have been told in order to receive the claim check we have to relinquish the damaged furniture. So not only did they damage our furniture, we also have to be greatly inconvenienced even more by: #1 having to move the furniture ourselves to make it available for pick up ( we do not want them in our house whatsoever), #2 -we will likely have mismatch furniture in two of our bedrooms (in the event the pieces are no longer available for reorder), and #3- we will not have a bed (yes they managed to destroy a king mattress as it was not placed in a mattress protector even though we paid for one AND they managed to rip one of the handles from it leaving a hole [and they didn’t even have the courtesy to tell us about it]. Further, our office furniture was completely destroyed making it extremely difficult to work from home properly! I’m disgusted with this entire process! Carey Movers destroyed our furniture and yes you’re paying for the damage (finally) but WE should be able to decide if we want to dispose of the damaged furniture. This process, both the move and the claim submission, are a double whammy to the customers: first the damage and now the inconvenience of having to order and wait for replacement deliveries. I just researched one of the dressers that has to be replaced and the soonest it can be delivered is November 6th! @alliedmovers needs to look into them. We hired Allied Movers to relocate us from TX to NC and had zero problems. Unfortunately, @alliedmovers does not have a base here in NC but recommended Carey Movers as their contractor. We are simply stunned that an ‘in state’ local move could go this horribly wrong!

We recently moved from North Carolina to Minnesota and worked with the team from Allied - Carey Moving. This was our fourth cross country move in recent years and it was - by far - our smoothest moving experience. Every step from our initial meeting with Tammy in our home for the estimate, to working with Tammy and the crew at the warehouse, to the actual move with our amazing driver and moving crew (John, Brad, Scott, and three gentlemen in Charlotte who’s names are escaping me) was so well organized, professional, and efficient. John, Brad, and Scott handled all of our belongings with such care, they wrapped door frames and stair railings to protect them, and ensured all of our furniture was right where we wanted it before they wrapped up. We were so impressed with the care they took vs rushing through. Overall, we could not be happier with the whole team from Carey Moving and will happily recommend them in the future!! I greatly appreciate and value the professional attention given to our recent move from the Steele Creek area of Charlotte to southern Alabama. I am leaving a review, but I want to also sincerely thank our Move Agent/Rep, Tammy Brown, who we initially came in contact with and who visited us in our home. I wish to also recognize, General Manager, Chris Reed, as well as our assigned Move Coordinator, Shelly Tadlock. From start to finish, all three individuals with Carey were very helpful, prompt and timely. Whenever we called upon them, they were true professionals, handling our out of state move with great attention and care. We may have moved away from the Charlotte area, but we still have friends local and business acquaintances. Without any hesitation, we will continue to refer the services of Carey Moving & Storage to anyone we come in contact with, personally and/or professionally. Let me also add, I have employed the services of many moving companies over the years and have completed several cross country moves, but I've never encountered a company that welcomed their customers to stop by their office/storage location to pick up complimentary moving supplies. This added service may sound so simple but yes, it was a greatly appreciated perk, thank you!

Jen, Leeia, Jose, John, Dom, and Katrina did a great job packing our house while managing our pets, kids, and all the chaos involved in packing and moving. They were punctual and thorough and would highly recommend this team to take care of your next move! Thanks for all of your help and patience.
