I was able to schedule a move on very short notice. I needed approximately 10 large items moved that I did not have the ability to take care of myself, including multiple couches, chairs, a dining room table, dressers, a bed, and some shelving units. Joe and Mark were my movers and did an excellent job, they were careful, efficient, and polite. Becker had one of the best prices per hour I was able to find in the Rochester area and did not require a minimum amount of time. I would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone looking for a moving company.

I called about these issues and was told the owner would call but he never did. Mind you we did not realize any of this until after the movers had left. We ended up missing 1/2 a freezer full of food and a really nice cooler. My sleep number bed was folded in half requiring us to take it apart and reconstruct it. A table had the legs broken off and left 1/2 in and 1/2 out of our bathroom. They put tape on good wood furniture ruining the finish.

I called Tues and had 2 small local moves scheduled for this morning. Joe and Mark arrived promptly, polite, careful and worked right along. I was so pleased with Joe and Mark and Becker Movers. My family used Becker several times while I was growing up. After today they will be always be my go to movers…and I move alot! Lol I highly recommend Becker Movers. They made our move stress free! Thank you Joe and Mark and Becker Movers!

Be sure you are explained about liability for your goods! Becker Movers moved and stored our entire household goods last May and returning to our new home the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Customers need to understand what New York State allows movers to get away with reducing their liability for you goods to paying you .30 per 100 lb, of weight for your goods. It is the required state regulation that Becker Movers was to thoroughly explain this severe reduction in their liability and explain the customer's opportunity to buy full liability at an additional cost. Becker was suppose to leave a published booklet by the state explaining this reduced liability for Becker. This explanation was never done nor was the booklet given to us. Someone wrote a .30 number in our contract of which we never agreed. After returning our goods with mattresses soiled (we gave them mattress covers that were never used. $5000 worth of brand new leather living rm couch and loveseat was scraped in the truck and never covered properly, The back of both were damaged beyond repair, There was scrapes and dents to other pieces of furniture. Most of our boxed were damaged from over stacking. An antique table was broken in half. After contacting Mr. Becker he explained that we are only allowed .30 per hundred weight for the damage. After asking were did that come from, he told us we turned down full overage. He told the same lie in small claims court and sent us a $270 check for the damages to our goods. We found out later most movers absorb the additional insurance cost for full liability and include it in their fees. This was a pure definition of negligence on the part of Becker Movers. BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT WHAT LIABILITY IN YOUR MOVING FEES! They will never move another item for our family and friends.

I will never go with Becker again. Please be aware that this company does NOT stick to their word. I very rarely write reviews but for this experience felt it was necessary. I moved from a one bedroom apartment into a small cape home and from the start there were issues. The two men that showed up were literally coming off a stretch of two 12 hour shifts in a row and they had just moved a huge house right before they arrived. Needless to say, they were exhausted and called their manager more than once in front of me asking for extra men because they couldn’t do it alone. They were told each time that they were not getting any help. The movers were nice enough, but as the day progressed things just got worse. They had the wrong address written down and when I told one of the movers, he brushed it off. They arrived at the wrong house. Once they finally showed up, my family started assisting because it was 4 hours into the day and we hadn’t even unloaded the moving truck! On top of ALL of this, they ruined my mattress (picture below) and complained the ENTIRE time. The kicker of this whole thing is that when my mother-in-law called to speak to the owner about getting some sort of money back for all this, she was told she would. Now it’s been 2 weeks and when she calls she gets told the owner will “call back” but still has not. Sorry for the long story, but it’s necessary to get the full picture of what happened. Go with another moving company, it’s worth it trust me.
