Firstly, I used Martin for a move six months ago and things went smoothly and I was impressed by his help. When it came time to move again, I contacted him and he reserved the date for me. Days before the move I emailed to confirm and ask for an estimate (small local move). I didn't hear back until the day before our move was scheduled, and he said the price was higher that my first move - even though the distance was much shorter (less than a mile) and we'd moved half our possessions ourselves. With only a day to go I had no choice to go with Martin, but asked if we could go for an hourly rate because it would be such a short move. I never heard back. He didn't show on the day of the move, but his movers did a fine job. They said they had to collect $650 cash once the move was complete. I tried to call Martin and of course he didn't answer my call. The move only took ONE HOUR! He has since never returned my calls and messages. Rip off and unprofessional. I would have appreciated a call back at least, if not a negotiated price once he saw what a small and easy move it was.

My husband and I were looking for a local mover in Santa Cruz/Monetrey area to move furniture from our recently deceased Dad's home in Saratoga. The family agreed we would donate all the furniture and other items to the Pajaro flood situation. We contacted Sister Rosa Delores Rodruguez's (founder and manager) knowing - "Casa de la Cultura Center" is a major resource center for Pajaroans. With excitement for the furniture for the people and a dedicated warehouse to place the items, all we needed was a mover. My husband randomly picked Central Coast Movers to get bid for moving costs as this was going to be part of the families donation. The day of moving, Martin Lopez (owner) and his 3 assistants and 2 moving trucks started moving early morning and completed moving everything out of a 2500 sq ft house in 2.5 hours. (this ialso ncluded outside furniture and garage items and 25 boxes of dishes etc already packed ). Delivered and loved into the Pajaro warehouse. They were meticulous while moving in the house and careful not to damage the inside of the house or the items. The offered help when we needed and asked about items before moving. We could not have found a better or more conscientious moving company. We have had expereicne with many and they had "issues". We holdheartedly recommend these movers.. reliable, meticulous, courteous and efficient. Now you ask ..pricing? The owner knowing this was a donation move, offered to NOT charge us for the moving fee. He is not a major corporation but self owner with his own challenges these days but magnanimous to donate his service for the good of the Pajaroans devastated by the flood. Rare individual and company ... highest praises for Central Coast Movers!!

These guys made my move so much easier. After a change of plans just before my move, I had two days to hire movers—for New Years Day! These guys were professional and fast, and packed my stuff safely and securely in the moving truck. I would definitely hire them again or recommend them to friends.
