Poor communication and inaccurate reporting My husband had nine treatments by Dr. Bellows for venous insufficiency, which seemed to be helpful. However, the medical records he wrote indicated a problem with DVT, although no details were given, nor was there any specific mention of a blood clot. It is egregious and unethical that he would note a problem without telling my husband and without prescribing anticoagulants. We didn't realize it was even in the records until it stopped a scheduled knee replacement surgery - while he was in pre-op - pending further investigation. Going into such a surgery with a blood clot could have been quite dangerous, even life-threatening. Dr. Bellows wasn't reachable by our surgeon; you can only call a national number, not a local one. They will connect you if they choose. At that point, an assistant claimed that the records didn't show a determination of DVT, when they clearly did. We never heard from Dr. Bellows, except for a message to come back in three months. That will not happen.

Dr Bellows & his.staff are absolutely *excellent* -- clear diagnoses, thorough explanation of treatment options & of procedures as treatment progresses & just top-notch friendliness & comunication from both doctor & his awesome staff. Strongly recommend him to anyone seeking knowledgeable, attentive care....
