Chika while far from me is ALWAYS worth the drive. There’s always available parking in the parking tower that’s just a short walk directly to the restaurant. I went back this last time to introduce a friend to the nachos! The presentation is super cool but the taste of these nachos whether you add a protein or not, is mouthwatering!!! I went back recently during off peak hours and was met with the same energetic staff. I love going places where people enjoy working and eating at their jobs. In my opinion, it highlights that the restaurant cares about their quality of food, ingredients, customers, and also their employees which creates a better atmosphere to dine in. I was provided with a great break down of the menu since it had been awhile since my last visit and told not only about the most popular dishes but a little secret addition of sauce/salsa to certain dishes to make it pop! I love a secret employee hack because I know they have had the dishes themselves and the insight on elevating it is usually spot on! If you want to try it, you should order all the sauces/salsas (they are all delicious) and create your own mix and match because I’ll never tell 😎… maybe your waiter will!

I like the guacamole and green salsa here a lot. The shrimp was quite spicy but tasted good. Chicken sandwich was also not bad but nothing crazy. Fries were good. Sister liked the pork belly tacos but not her rice bowl. Next time I'd probably just get the guac and salsa again and maybe try something new like the rotisserie chicken. The dessert was okay, we got the coconut flan.

Non alcoholic drink were not good. Nachos with veggies were good. Chika bowl - Not recommended too dry. Any extra sauces added extra cost.

This has just become one of our favorite restaurants in San Jose. Highly recommended. We visited on a busy Sunday at 12pm and were impressed. Good food, great drinks, safe seating during COVID, friendly server (but hostess was average). Recommend the margaritas and the chicken based selections. They offer other meats as well. The food: The food here is AMAZING. They offer several chicken selections as well as steaks, pulled pork quesadillas, and other amazing selections. The diversity of selections is impressive. We ordered the chicken sandwich, a quesabarria (short rib inside a quesadilla), and potato pancakes with mole. I'm a picky eater and all of these items were AMAZING. 10/10 here. The Drinks: We were equally impressed with the drinks here. They have a selection of very unique offerings. The alcohol isn't super heavy in them for the price, but the taste makes up for it. We ended up drinking about 5-6 drinks between the two of us just for the taste alone! The service: The service here is great. We literally did not even wait (we came here after going to Yard House and learning the wait was over an hour there. The server we had was excellent. He constantly checked in with us and was always attending us. The hostess was a little distant but thats okay. In the end, we were happy with our server and the person who toke our plates away. 7/10 here. The Location and Covid Safety: They have a large outdoor seating area (pictures attached). There are uncovered and covered sections. Comfortable and suitable for larger households. They also have some indoor seating.

12/28/23 - Good food at a reasonable price. Outside and inside seating. Service needs an improvement as the 4-5 times we’ve been there it’s been really, really slow.
