Quite disappointed with Dr Hansen’s approach to my particular case. I sought treatment for mild to moderate TMJ from her earlier this year. In addition to charging me upwards of $3k out of pocket for my treatment, the side effects of my treatment have been particularly severe, of which the risks for were not explained to me. Only after injecting me with a therapeutic dose of Botulinum toxin for bruxism did the office offer a slightly more comprehensive informed consent form. As a result of this office’s BoNT injections (the total number of units I have yet to know), I have experienced what is known as impaired neuronal communication syndrome, where essentially the toxin spread and wreaked havoc on my entire nervous system. Within 48 hours of injections, I developed severe anxiety, depersonalization, brain fog, hand tremors, full body muscle twitching, difficulty breathing, internal shaking, eye floaters, sharp shooting pains, full body numbness, burning sensations across my neck and face, tension headaches, and a worsening of my TMJ symptoms, just to name a few. As a college student, this has been a particularly distressing experience for me. I sought help from this office upon first presentation of these side effects to no avail; to dr Hansen, their presentation seemed to be a coincidence and not a direct result of injections, and I was given no further guidance. I was extremely lost and confused. The month of March was an extremely dark time for me. I am still battling certain symptoms and struggling with tending to my health on top of school and personal life. The symptoms have interfered with the better part of a semester in college. I wish I had sought out a provider who was more willing to provide information on the risks and benefits of a procedure as invasive as the one I (regrettably) received. I would have saved myself so much time, money, and grief. Update at 5 months after my injections, my eye floaters are still present and a visit to the ophthalmologist indicated I have a retinoschisis in one eye, which was not there during my annual visit to the eye doctor last year. I am assuming the Botulinum toxin did damage to my retina and caused my eye floaters and the schisis within days of its exposure to my nervous system. Needless to say, I am quite distraught by this whole experience. Ultimately, I found the office a profit oriented business that did not appear to have best interests or safety for that matter in mind. My experience serves as a harsh reminder of the sad state of health and dental care in America.

After not seeing a dentist for several years, my teeth needed a lot of work. Dr. Hansen pointed out the most critical areas, presenting options for the remainder. Never had a prior dentist been as concerned for the long term health of my teeth. Dr. Hansen planned treatments in order of importance, and completed all within a year. The highly competent staff set up appointments for me when an outside specialist was required—and their work is highly commendable as well. Every member of the staff is courteous, gentle, supportive, and knowledgeable. They did an excellent job of explaining care and prevention of my teeth and gums. I was shocked at how little I knew about dental care before I went to Dr. Hansen. Now I have healthy, beautiful teeth that I know how to take care of!

Dr. Hansen's expertise, professionalism, and dedication to patient care is exceptional. My family and I (all Dr. Hansen's patients) are so grateful to be under her care. From a comprehensive initial evaluation, thorough hygienic visits and state of the art dental care (customized crowns made on site!), we are very pleased with the care we receive. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and trained very well. Dr. Hansen's dedication to quality and optimal patient care is superb. I have a fear of doctors and this entire staff went above and beyond to reassure/comfort me. They validated my experience, feelings, and concerns. Norma modified the schedule to assure I was seen in a timely manner. Before my visit Christine emailed me several time checking and re-checking my feeling on coming to confirm I would be greeted and treated in the unique way for my comfort. At first I was reluctant to answer the questions truthfully (I did not want to seem needy) but eventually I did in detail. Something that stood out to be the most was: they rearranged the staff to all female because i mentioned a fear of male professionals.They took their COVID-19 precautions seriously. Meme met my outside to go over a few things and walk me to my room. I can-not explain this but Meme made me feel so comfortable. She is like the long lost (good) mother you never had. That is weird but I do not know how else to explain it. She asked so many questions to make sure again I was comfortable. The most shocking part (i mean this in the most respectful way to other dentist) Dr. Roberta Jurash came to meet me for my exam and spent 15 min.+ going over my answers to the questions mentioned above. She took my concerns seriously and answered every question I had. At one point in the visit she said, "please keep me updated on anything I can do to make sure I am aware of your health (referring to a condition I have) now and n the future". Because my condition is rare and has a negative stereotype surrounding it I always have a bad experience with doctors when i bring it up. However, Dr. Jurash never treated me less-than; she actually treated me better than I have ever been treated by and dentist. None of this may be a big deal to most but it meant the world to me, I appreciate it more than they will ever know. I will be a patient here for the rest of my life.
