This review is LONG overdue and if Richard Garcia is reading this, please accept my apologies for my delay in writing it! I literally owe this company my life (twice) and when the need comes for me to ship again, this will certainly be my first and probably only choice! The first time I worked with Coastal Auto Shipping was in 2020. At that time, I was living in Hawaii when the COVID lockdown hit hard and closed down almost everything and fast! Before COVID, I had already moved out of my home rental and my household goods had already shipped to my state of Washington, but my vehicle and all my clothes were still in Hawaii and I feared I would be stuck in a hotel for much longer than I could afford. I needed a company who was affordable, dependable and professional, who understood my situation and would work quickly. Thinking about it now, I can’t even begin to imagine how many others were in my exact situation; thank God I found Coastal Auto Shipping! From them I quickly learned how to prepare a pallet for ocean shipment of my clothes and what I needed to do to prepare my car for the ocean voyage. They gave me clear instructions and numerous tips and tricks so I could ship my pallets just like the experts; I was also able to track my shipment from their website, which helped ease my mind. My pallets arrived in Washington before I did (I had it delivered to my friends) and two weeks later I received my car, delivered right to my door; Wow - too fast, relatively easy and much more affordable than I thought it would be! My next unexpected life experience hit in 2023, when I had to move quickly from Washington to Florida in a matter of one month! This is when I was introduced to Richard Garcia; I don’t know where to start when it comes to complimenting Richard. Maybe I should start with his patience in answering all of my gazillion questions via phone calls and emails, or maybe I should start by mentioning his professionalism, his ability to pay attention to detail, his organizational skills or simply how his friendly personality helped me relax just a bit on my most stressful days. Richard was incredibly helpful across all parts of the process. He’s an excellent customer service representative and his crew really bent over backwards to make this move run smoothly and quickly from the pickup of my vehicle from my door in Washington to the delivery of my vehicle to my door in Florida. The bottom line…all the gentlemen I’ve worked with from Coastal Auto Shipping have been very professional, thorough and responsive and I promise, you won’t beat their rates. Alex Duran is the man! He went above and beyond to help get my truck from California to hawaii. The truck I was shipping over broke down after being delivered to port. Alex helped me with arranging a tow out of the shipping yard to a mechanics shop and with a tow back to the ship yard. Before getting it to the mechanic I took it to he also helped me find a location that I could have the truck worked on by a mobile mechanic that I decided to not use. Although I didn’t use the spot he helped find for the truck to be worked on by the mobile mechanic I still really appreciated the fact that he called around to find that spot. In addition to all this my truck wasn’t clean enough to pass the ag inspection when it arrived at port. Alex once again helped me find someone to wash and detail the truck to pass the ag inspections. 10/10 will use again next time i need to ship a car. Just also remembering to add that matson and pasha were 6-8 weeks out to ship. Alex was able to pull strings with his company and was able to get my truck onto the next boat to Hawaii which was less than 2 weeks.
