They were really good to me and when I had to go home, they understood I really wish I can get back into the trucking job with this company, but I can’t go over the road with my kids but I really enjoyed being a part of the team and this company. I miss them all.

I worked for this company for 5 years. I like the people here, but the business itself isn't so great. This place is a revolving door. They recently laid off half of their fleet including me. I don't say this out of malice but I now make twice as much with my new company as I did here. I was in 4 different trucks in the space of just as many months because they couldn't keep up with the maintenence, then wanted to blame me for the problems they were having. They have inward facing cameras and I've been straight up gaslighted when they couldn't or wouldn't keep a promise to me. I had a lot of home time but mostly cuz they couldn't find me loads quickly. You can try but them but I wouldn't go back.

Rates are ok seem to have consistent work. The lady that handles the applicants is very nice and welcoming

Having been in this business of logistics for 2 1/2 to 3 years almost I have had a variety of experiences with different trucking companies. Let me be completely 100% honest here. From 1st contact to hiring to my first scheduled hometime this organization is 2nd to none in my book. Recruiting for example does not fill its potential candidates with false promises they mean what they say and say what they mean. Expectations are made very clear from day one. Inside office from our HR Dept to our Driver Managers and our Safety Dept and our Ops Manager Kevin and out to our Service Department. Everyone does a phenomenal job they take pride in their work and responsibility for there own actions and even mistakes are taken ownership of. I used to hate going to home terminal it drove me crazy cause you couldn't ever get an answer about anything not even the weather forecast. Our team and I do mean "team" understands that we rely on each others honesty and integrity so we are one cohesive organization. From our Drivers to our shop to are inside office our people are all about problem solving not problem creating. That's what sets Cool Mountain Transport many steps above the competition. This is the "Why" I chose to work here I know without a doubt I am not just an employee number I am a person a driver that gives 110% everyday because I know I am appreciated because I am told that by my superiors and coworkers. I just want to end with this I dont just work a job driving a tractor trailer. It's engrained in my mind, body, and soul and working with people that know your name, face, phone number and anything else you have shared with them. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have been given here and am proud to be a part of this family and felt it from day one and still do the same today. Speaking of which lets talk miles are you tired of sitting on docks 3, 4, or 5 times a week to find your only averaging maybe a 1,000 miles? I MAYBE am on a dock 2 or 3 times a week and the rest of the time is spent driving down the interstate rarely see a load less than 2,000 miles. This is my experience and 100% honest thoughts and opinions. I see nothing less than huge opportunities up ahead here. My smile is real not fake. I am blessed and am glad took this career move never felt better about a company. SO HEY COOL MOUNTAIN TRANSPORT want you to know this driver knows you all ROCK and I appreciate everything everyone does to keep me rolling and brighten my days when I stop in the office or shop when I come into town. I work here! The people here are so much fun! They literally become your second family! They all watch out for you, and will have your back. They have 2020 Peterbuilts and 2022 Freightliners. They do both local and OTR. Definitely recommend working here!
