Called on a post from Truck Stop guy that answered in the worst mood at 8am says can't set up new carrier and clicks on me! I called back but luckily someone else answered and was very professional was able to add me as a new carrier in 5 minutes. You must get rid of these workers think of how many carriers you will loose in a year!

Truck Drivers beware! I booked a load from Cowan from Shane to go from Alabama delivering 4 dropped loads on original rate con, 2 of them in Washington state and 2 in Oregon. Once loaded on the truck and BOL in hand, at loading dock I noticed 2 of the delivery addresses were different verse the rate con and phoned the broker to make them aware and they said use the addresses on BOL and nothing of any rate change. Once in route 800 miles Shane informed us because it was 200 miles less they original rate con that was sign and agreed upon would be dropped in price. This is their mistake in the addresses we agree on in the rate con. Not only this though, the last delivery spot we were making THAT we already booked we had to cancel because of there address change. This is extremely unfair, unprofessional and needs attention with in the company to upper management. Why should we as Truck Drivers get the shaft on their mistake. We agreed to do this load for set price and also finding a load at the last delivery address to get us back or close to where we came from. Bad business practices going on here so please be made aware if you book a load with them. Very disappointed in this company.

On may 6th I was dispatched from the Anderson terminal in Indiana. Where there only 1 manager there. I been with the company about 1 to 2 wks.i had ride with a driver whom been with then 20yr. He was showing me the ropes there on where to go & what they do. Everything went well.now the dispatched & DM is the same person.i was dispatched to go to a place & do a drop & hook ,I never been there @ all so I get my GPS & use that to get my directions to get there. Mann ,as I get closer to where I need to go ,the road was close ,& here comes the problems so I'm trying to get out of there & as a driver u can't get turn around that easy. So I did the best I could.& guess who was there to intercept truck driver to build up there revenue, good Ole munice local police.so I got pull over & a few more driver.so the ticket was 164.$ & 6 points on my driving record.come to find out ,that the driver that's been with this company for 20yr .was @ the same place where I was going to make the drop & hook.he show up behind me.so he new the road was closed & the dispatcher. Note now my driving record had 0 pints on it & no tickes over 2016.so I feel like I was set up to get a ticket from.there .from the driver manager n Anderson. That's why I quit the job.i didn't wanna be set up with other delivery, why I was there.i take my license & driving record very serious. My GPS didn't fail me ,driver manger fail me.i never had this problem with any other truck companies. Till that day .I always heard if truck companies was so great ,then they wouldn't need driver to make the companies have revenue. This will be my last yr with truck companies.thx u dispatcher or driver manager, for nailing me to the cross with a citation. Couldn't be better.

Well I thought it was a good company but after they laid off my wife who put in 32 years between Carlisle carriers that Cowan bought out and she worked there for four years loyalty means nothing guess when your pushing 60 years old they dump ya so she was offered four weeks severance pay and had to sign papers not to go after them. Damn shame wanted to let Scott and Mike I appreciate you showing her the ropes gotta wonder if Mike was still her boss if she would still be there. Mike your a stand up guy I wish you and Scott all the best.

Worked for Cowan for nine years left on unreconcilable differences was not treated fairly by the Director of Operations in Halethorpe , and they take the Truck over the Driver no matter how much work the Driver does If your looking for a job STAY AWAY from this employer they promise you this and they give you that! Also, there are to many safety people who try to tell you that their way driving a truck is gonna change the way you drive!, yeah good luck with that I have Successfully drove for 27 years accident and incident free! 4 million miles plus
