Before writing this, please know that I followed up with DD Catering four times and they never responded. We hired and paid DD catering for a 50-person party. In the order, it was clear that they would provide choux and panna cotta, enough for 50 people. When it was time for dessert, the catering team brought out 12 cupcakes and 12 2-bite tiramisu cups, I was flabbergasted. We paid for 50 people, and this is what they gave us! The catering leading promised me that someone from DD catering would call first thing Sunday morning and that they would "make it right". Well no one called! What's worse, they also damaged my dining table. Again, in emails and conversations with the owner and catering team, I specifically asked them to cover it if they use it to protect the wood from damage. What did I find at the end of the night? Big spots of damage on the table. As I said, I tried contacting them four times and to this day, no response. Think twice before using DD catering. Better yet, save yourself some trouble and don't use them because they have no sense of customer service or accountability.

I've been to many weddings before and food was never the highlight. My husband and I are huge foodies and knew one thing: we gotta get the food right and sure enough we did! D-D catering served our 125 person wedding a variety of asian cuisines and nailed every flavor note. Our guests raved about the salmon, many went up for seconds and thirds (we had a buffet), and we even saw some mouth the words "OMG so GOOD". We got the buffet option for our wedding to present a. variety of the delicious dishes. Here is what we got: Appetizers: Braised Pork Belly Bao, Papaya salad w/ Beef Jerky, Seafood toast Entree: Umami Steak, Miso glazed eggplant, Cajun Shrimp garlic noodles, lion king salmon, Japanese miso broccoli salad Dessert: Sticky rice pudding, fruit board The food is as delicious as it sounds. Other than that, they were super flexible! They were able to give vegetarian options, Hor'dourves service, and cake cutting as well to fit the needs of our wedding. If you'd like a plated option, they offer that as well! Additionally, they were super great with communication and our wedding coordinator had only positive things to say about them. I would highly recommend DD-catering!

Although the food was good, I cannot recommend this caterer if you want extra stress. Firstly, when we were signing the contract, they made many major errors, including incorrect menu and pricing that I had to fix. That should have been the first red flag. 1 week prior to the wedding, I am told they do not have enough servers for moving the chairs from ceremony to reception, even though the chef did the walkthrough with us at the venue and assured us they’ve done plenty of weddings there before and knows what to do. They also claimed we didn’t mention we would have cocktail hour and it would require 500 if we were to do passed apps. We never mentioned passed apps. It would always be stationary. Our options was to pay extra for more food or move one of the apps from dinner service to cocktail hour. We had to add 2 extra servers to help with the chairs. They assured me that was going to be enough and I wouldn’t have to use my bridal party. Guess what? They were slow to set up for cocktail hour and our bridal party had to help move the chairs. The day before, they claimed we only had 165 guests on our contract despite the contract clearing saying 180 with 15 vegan plates. We had some last minute people dropping out so we knew we would have more than enough food for the vendors. THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. This shouldn’t be 11th hour stuff and adding unnecessary stress to an already hectic week. They were uncommunicative towards me and my coordinator. I had to follow up multiple times just to get a phone call to hash everything out. They kept trying to solicit more and more money from us and it was just so unprofessional. At the end of the night when we were trying to bring the food one, one of their servers or chef told my bridesmaid she can’t take the meat because they were taking it but we were welcomed to take the rice????? She thought we had this discussion separately with them but asked them again if THEY were taking the meat, which they repeatedly said yes. We paid for the food, why are you taking our food home? I don’t understand. Please do better for your future clients.
