Dr. Keene was simply covering for our usual pediatrician while she was away. There was no particular reason we thought we'd even meet him. Our daughter had been born, went through the NICU, had to be readmitted for jaundice, and was home for a second time in a week. We were relieved to be home finally with our preemie newborn. And Dr. Keene, who as mentioned was COVERING for our usual doctor, called us on the phone and asked if he could come over the house. We were confused and said yes of course. He came over, and discussed the recent hospitalization with us and told us apologetically that he was looking over the chart and could see that in the hospital she wasn't eating enough. It was a "failure to thrive" situation. This was horribly missed by the hospital, and he took the time to look over OUR chart and noticed what they missed. He came over bc he knew it would be hard for us emotionally, but sent us back to the hospital where she needed a lot of support that would have been missed. She needed a feeding tube, she had Meningitis. And he caught this. While covering. For another doctor's patient. That's just insane. And helped her SO much. And the way he did it with gentle grace coming over the house in person, that bedside manner was as great as the intelligence behind it.

Dr. Keane is the best pediatrician. He is calm and level headed. Knowledgeable and reassuring. Both my kids were his patients 18 and 14 years ago for 6 years, and I still remember him kindly. He is the best.

Dr. Keene is an amazing pediatrician. When my daughter was in the NICU for 3 months at Cedar Sinai hospital he made sure to come visit her everyday, he gave my husband and I invaluable advice. My daughter was so small and I was so scared but with the permission of other parents with premature babies he showed me pictures of his patients that are healthy and thriving. Dr. Keene gave my husband and I hope. I will never be able to thank you enough, you are an amazing pediatrician and human being.

Dr. Keene is a great dr. and human. My kids feel cared about with him, and he takes the time to talk to their level while also calmly dealing with me as a parent. He is knowledgable and caring and easy to access. We love Dr. Keene!
