DC Mover out of Durham NC moved my family the experience was terrible. They put big holes in the wall the truck did not have a ramp and my furniture was very heavy so they had to take many breaks it got so bad my family had to kick in and help them because it was taking too long they took several breaks including food break on our time which showed in the cost. I've been tying to reach them for the repairs this is a new home they never returned my calls or refunded my money for the repairs so I agree everything that seem reasonable is not they literally ripped my head off in cost and stiffed me with the repairs.

I used DC movers a few years ago to move just the heavy items to my new apartment. The manager came to help his workers and 'He' put the shelves to my china cabinet on a box in the truck and you guessed it, they were broken upon arrival. The owner promised to reimburse me, but then he stopped answering my calls. I'm looking for movers again and will NEVER-EVER-CONSIDER contacting DC Movers!! (I would give them less than one star if i were possible!!)

Fred, Donald, and Bruce were our movers on July 9th. I booked the move calling the Charlotte office, but they drove all the way from Durham to Ballentyne in Charlotte to move us to Belmont. We were at least their second assignment of the day, but they arrived with enthusiasm on a scorching hot July Friday to move us out of our 3rd floor apartment and garage. I was amazed at how quickly they wrapped our furniture, dismantled our dining table and dismounted our TVs from the wall. They also wrapped our king size mattress and box springs with the covers I purchased with ease. I myself was exhausted doing my part, but these men never lost steam. If they complained, I never heard it. They worked thru lunch even though I know they were starving. They were honest with their time at the end (they didn't know I started a stopwatch to verify any price I was given) All our things made it down the interstate safe and sound, nothing is missing or broken, and they didn't even expect a tip WHICH THEY DESERVED!!!! Let me tell you, ask for these three men. Tell them V. Hofler sent you.

Very pleased with the service! They packed our Uhaul professionally and priced us competitively amongst the going market rate. We utilized two movers for two hours. Excellent service!

You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. DC Movers was referred by a few friends. Reached out to help my parents, senior citizens, secure movers (25 minute drive between residences) and we booked them based on their rate in comparison to others. In short, our experience yesterday was a DISASTER! Movers arrived nearly 90 minutes late (contracted to arrive 9am to 11am). Upon arrival they began packing for about 4 hour and then took a "lunch break." After the break they were STILL packing well into the evening hours. The packing continues, brief weather impact, and once the truck is fully loaded they are JUST departing the old place at 10:30pm. Once they've arrived, unloading and assembly takes place and the move is finally completed in the area of 2am. Throughout the day we were contracted for 3 movers and more people were called off and on given their tardiness. Mind you, my parents hired movers a few months ago to remove a ton of items collected over the years placing in storage therefore this company only moved 25% of what was originally in the house. 90 minutes late, 10 hours of packing (before and after "lunch") and 3 hours of unload and assembly for a fraction of the home is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. The owner acknowledged the fact his crew was late but failed to disclose they typically pack up a house in one day and move the next day. Had we known that up front we would have contracted the company we initially secured. We were livid, I called the owner a second time to hear 1) they had a late night move thur night before which is consistent with other reviews and a scheduling issue on their end 2) a speech on his years of service and how this was going to take 10+ hours when I know that's not true 3) screenshots and text messages in their attempt to communicate their delays and 4) other than being late we didn't do anything wrong. Additionally, he also told me our expectations were too high about this move. Our confidence in DC Movers was too high. Their execution and level of service was well below and short of our expectations. They took a small percentage off the bill which I still feel isn't enough. Moving is a painful process but their is also excitement in having a new start. Do your research, go with a reputable company that is certified with the Better Business Bureau, and spare yourself the agony of the lack of organization and lack of professionalism. DC Movers IS NOT the way to go. Save yourself time and don't get sucked in by the money. Thank yourself later.
