Let me share a insight on Decker. I was based out of Missoula, montana. Jan of 2014. With having 22 yrs OTR Exp. No one talked bad about this trucking Co on the CB. Called recurring office in Missoula. Was told my pay and about the Co it self. Got to orientation. Hotel was great with the food credits Safety Dept gave to us. There was about 30 of us. Couple O/O's. After orientation. I was introduced to my DM. His name was Brad. A young DM with a Degree in Criminal Justice. Has no idea what it takes to drive a big rig. I was given a pld Pet 13 on the floor. The sleeper had major damage on the emergency exit of the sleeper. After he saw it. He asked what I had hit. I told him I got it as is. That should of been a Red Flag. I let it go. I ran that pet for about 2 more weeks till it was a turn in at FT. Dodge, IA. Friendly staff. The owner at the time was the dad. He highered a bunch of ppl from a college that had their degrees. Nice, How ever they had no experience with trucking what so ever. Problem for vets like me with our experience. 1 day I picked up a spice load out of IA. 2 drops in Calif. Route was I 80 into I 76 into Denver. To I 70. Major road work by the western side of the state and being maxed out. Put me behind schedule. CS. Had to reschedule this load for next day. I parked at the petrol ts in Ontario, CA. I left next morning at 0500 hrs and it on my E log. I get to the 3rd party warehouse for Walmart 30 mins later. Checked in. Spent 7 hours there. My log going since 0500 hrs. Time I'm cleared to head to woodland, Calif. 1900 hrs. Brad asked for a eta to Walmart 3rd party warehouse in Woodland, CA. Roughly 14-1500 hrs. Brad asked what if I was to give you a fresh 14 hours to run. Could you do it. Nope and I am Not Authorizing you to play with my log book either. The dummy got the safety guy involved to redo my log. Back to the 14 hours. Illegally. Putting The guy who did this, and himself along with me in harms way. Needless to say I was ordered by this DM. To do this or get fired. Interesting to say the load was on time at 0530. The next day. Saturday morning. After unloaded I had to run over to w. Sac. To Old Dimonin yard to ship bsck a skid of product to shipper. Yes, I could of shut down in the middle of nowhere. Got on the phone with Federal DOT. And had Brad arrested for tampering with a Federal Device. The Terminal manager would of been find. The other guy who had access to the E logs. Did get Fired that Monday Morning. Ft Dodge was the one who fired the guy. Did DM get hit with anything. Nope he denied it. Now this incident was kept very quite over a span of 6 yrs. Brad is no longer a DM for Decker. Last i heard he a mall cop in Minnesota. The pay was OK. Very little down time. Unless your at Walmart DCs. Kroger DCs. Or picking up produce in the NW. Or Beef in MO or OK. Trucks ran 65-68 mph. Most part you could ask to be sent to a area for home time other than your home. They tried to keep you happy. Down side of that. They pushed you to the max. I was consider a "Hot Shot" Driver. One who got things done back in the days of paper logs. Today that's going to be tricky. Unless your running team and cams don't face the driver. The trailers all refer. Auto slide and marked 40'kp on the left side of trl to prevent driver wasting time. Trailers needed washing out after meat and nursery loads. Not always happened after a produce load empty and see large amount if Beef Blood on the floor of a produce load! Brake down pay was ok. Layover was ok , benefits was nice. Yards where good with nice helping staff Best loads spice, Bkue bunny icream and produce where the best . If Bradley was never their. I would give them 3.5 maybe a 4. Out of 5. The fact is. They claimed to be a great Co to work for. Yet when dad gave it to his son. It went down hill. You be the judge of what I said here.

My first time in Missoula,MT I told them check air, and they gave me full service Nice place nice people

Ever since decker truck lines has came to Missoula montana there trucks have been the cleanest around here and looking very nice rolling in and rolling out keep up the good work decker truck lines

Great place to work for get me home when I want to be home pay on time plenty of miles
