At first getting help from Echo Housing was great! Then staffing changed. Had a MAJOR issue with a landlord and Charrise was involved. But email communication/mediation between Echo Housing the Landlord and I was being deleted. And Charrise didn't mention about the deleted emails.(Luckly I knew how to keep copies) Those emails was damaging for the landlord.Then I involved Angie. But at that point,I didn't trust Echo Housing. All of the sudden the shady Landlord was using those two same representative's for assistance. And no one can answer my question when its asked since I had to involve "others"...WHO IS DELETING EMAIL THE ECHO HOUSING CONVERSATIONS???? I even emailed the people running that program...nothing.. All I can say is...Becareful!

I have been working with the ECHO for more than a year now about the same problems and they were not helpful at all. The Two different housing coordinators that “assisted”me were always asking me how they should do their job or sometimes they wouldn’t be involved in the process at all unless I brought it to their attention. I brought this to the attention of the Executive Director Marjorie recently about how I felt that I and my mother weren’t being given the services they’re supposed to be offering in full and not only did she double down on her workers not providing services but she also told me that their housing coordinators and mediators “ only get involved when landlords aren’t responding” and that’s not what’s listed under their services on the website for people in need. I basically did everything myself and I’m exhausted. Seek assistance somewhere else if you need help with housing or you’ll be waiting for months or even years.

I worked with Lorie and she was an amazing support and very knowledgable. We worked together to keep my service animal with me. It wasa tough case to work on as the agency in charge of my housing was more than uncooperative. She still worked hard to get me the information I needed and eventually to try to contact said agency and work things out amicably. Instead they refused her calls and canceled the one appointment that she was able to make and terminated me from their program. All in all she worked diligently, compassionately for several months. In the end she advised me to file formal complaints and gave me the info I needed to do so with an open door to contact her if needed. In the end (after a news broadcast was made in response to this on my behalf) I was readmitted into the program, however their is still no mention of approval or not of my therapy and service animals. I certainly hope that no one ever has to go through what I have...but if they do I would recommend Lorie and Echo Fair Housing for sure...Lorie was my angel. I could bever have fought for my rights as well without her assistance!!! Thank you for your organization!! Thank you Lorie!!!

All I can say is stay far away from these people I had to work with Angie Watson she was completely unorganized and Completely insensitive To my anxiety for example I had asked her if I could do a phone call about all the issues I was having with my landlord from my therapist office my landlord tried to push that I meet them in person even though I had told her that it brings me a lot of anxiety to deal with them in person she still came back and tried to push on their end for us to meet in person and then I told her what did I say before Then she backed off and said okay will accommodate you another interesting thing I noticed was when I went to speak on the phone with my landlord Angie told all of us to be respectful of each other My therapist Spoke first of what she felt was going on 7 seconds passed by with silence on the other end and then you hear laughing How is that being respectful Also too we had pointed out that they were altering my lease To laws that were not even current or correct and adding things and pulling Accommodation letters Later on I had to chase down Angie to give me a response letter instead of her giving me a professional response letter by mail With her signature she sends me and the landlord an email which said she found no wrongdoing
