PLEASE READ EDIT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW I have been seeing Dr. Perez since 2003, he's monitored all my pregnancies, and delivered all 3 of my children and has been the ONLY doctor I've ever had who listens to my concerns and looks into each one seriously! I've told him several times I wish he could be my primary physician because he really does go above and beyond for all his patients. My family doctor will not run test or blood work when I have a true concern and Dr. Perez takes the time to do those tests!! He is the sweetest and absolutely best doctor there is! I recommend Dr. Perez to everyone. I moved to Cumberland county in 2015 during my last pregnancy and I made the 45-60 minute drive back to Johnston county just to see Dr. Perez! I still make the drive and will never even consider switching to a closer or new OB/GYN. He's found issues with vitamin deficiency, cholesterol levels and a few others I've had in my 20's that my family physician never tested for regardless of my complaints. ******** EDIT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW***** BIGGEST AND ONLY COMPLAINT: I read several low reviews stating this office only cared about money. THOSE REVIEWS ARE VERY VERY TRUE!! After I had my daughter finances got really tight and we were no longer able to afford $2400 a month for health insurance. So unfortunately we had no choice but to go back to Medicaid until we became financially stable again. Due to the financial situation we were in I was unable to make payments on my $28000 hospital birthing bill. Every bill before this was paid in the office $400-800 plus copay and the $2400 insurance on time. I was told by Dr Perez I would need to go every year for a check up because pre cancerous cells were removed after I gave birth. I called his office to make an appointment with him after months of dealing with 16 day cycles, fatigue and stuck wondering if it was cervical cancer or just perimenopause. The lady answered the phone and I didn't have the chance to even explain the financial situation and she told me that the office COULD NOT book an appointment for me until I paid off the hospital bill. Which I also found out had been transferred to a collection agency. She was kind enough to give me the agencies number so I could inquire about making payment arrangements which I done but I am STILL STUCK HAVING TO FIND ANOTHER OBGYN. Thankfully after COVID cases started to slow our income increased enough to afford payment arrangements, which we've been making with the debt collection agency. However, regardless of our efforts and making payments on time I still am not able to make an appointment with the only doctor I've seen and trust for the last 18 years. I know for most people getting another doctor is easy and no issue, but I'm a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and like I told the lady on the phone I'd rather die from cancer then see another doctor.

He is the best gynecologist and he speaks Spanish and explains everything in detail to you. He is my gynecologist for more than 10 years, excellent services.
