The first time I used EJ & sons they were excellent.. the second time the owner was in charge of the move.. First he forgot about the move date. Got his guys there 2 hours late. Then proceeded to pack the truck in a very unorganized manner. When I asked him to tie down the boxes he treated me as if I was a stupid female who did not know what I was talking about. He complained that I was stressing him out. I figured he would do as I asked but he did not. I gave his 2 guys a tip and he demanded one for himself too. He bought food for his guys and then charged them for it when he saw I gave them a tip. When we reached our destination, most of my belongings were broken. Boxes had fallen over. I have pictures to prove all of it. I sent emails to the owner... to which he has never replied. If you use this company do NOT let the owner have any part in the move.. the sons are great the employees are great... The owner is a misogynistic overbearing unethical man masquerading as a Christian.

For reference, I've moved twice in 10 months and used movers. I moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 3 story townhouse, then into a 4 story house. My moves took 4.5 and 5 hours with 3 movers. EJ & son's recently moved my Grandma. We had just moved her 4 months earlier and she moved back to the exact apartment she left. It took my 75 year old uncle and 2 cousins in their 40's 2 hours to move her. It took EJ & son's around 5 hours to move her and she had even less stuff than her first move. She was in a studio apartment. She had a full size bed, headboard and footboard, small recliner, dresser, small wooden cabinet, a microwave, about 5 small boxes, and a few random items. My uncle was quoted $300 which seemed right because it should take about 2 hours. Instead he was charged over $600!!! Then the guys wanted a tip added to the total. I called to speak to someone about this rate being completely unreasonable and he basically called my uncle and I liars. He said the guys worked the whole time and didn't take breaks (he wasn't there the whole time but did stop by at one point) My uncle went to see where they were at one point and they were sitting in the truck smoking. He said it took 30 minutes to get to the other apartment I said it only took 20, he asked how I was going to tell him that. Well, that's my Grandma and I made the trip several times in the last 4 months. Then he said it was because they were driving a 25ft truck. Well, why would you bring a 25ft truck to move a dozen items? My uncle said all of her stuff didn't even take up half the truck. They were bringing one or two items up or down in the elevator each time which made for several extra trips and extra time being charged. They paid slightly less than I paid to move a 3 bedroom house plus storage unit which is just ridiculous. This company is a huge rip off!

I highly recommend calling this company for your moving needs. Owner is the kindest most caring individual I’ve ever spoke with. I contacted him late at night and he answered. I needed help extremely short notice, like the next day. He was already booked or he would have helped. However the next day he reached out to ME! Yes me and offered his services for the next day. He knew I was in need and did everything he could to help someone out. Ubuntu.
