Interview for US Citizenship was fine and as expected it was in a room with an official asking questions etc etc. BUT please don’t not opt for a “Parking lot ceremony” of the option is given. Had I known there would be a ceremony held in Campbell in an actual hall feeling like an actual ceremony then I would’ve waited for that. After the interview they don’t tell you the actiual ceremony would be held in the parking lot. A parking lot ceremony is usually held the same week as your interview and was used during the pandemic. But I guess they’re still keeping it to this day!! What a load of bullshit! People wait years for this day only to find out you’re in an open parking lot lined up in rows with hundreds of other cars and 20-30 people at a time stepping out of their cars to recite the pledge, answer yes to a few questions then be congratulated for becoming a U.S. Citizen. Then you’re asked to return to your car and wait for your certificate and drive away where then the next lot of 20-30 people take their turn and so on. I came dressed up as did many others, suits, dresses- the whole nine yards. Many invited friends and family. The ceremony felt rushed and unpatriotic… it was no more than 2 mins. To make matters worse, it was windy and it started to rain. Just awesome. It didn’t feel right. And to this day it still doesn’t sit well with me. So, if you like to get it over and done with choose the parking lot option but you owe it to yourself to be addressed in a manner that you deserve. USCIS….do better!

I came to this field office for my citizenship interview. The USCIS officer conducting my interview was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. I was done within 40 minutes of my scheduled interview time. Unfortunately the staff at the front and security is a bit less friendly and welcoming. But as long as you make sure you have your appointment letter + ID ready when you get there and give them straight answers to their questions you should be fine.

I really appreciate the professionalism of the USCIS staff working here. However, my issue is with one of the front desk employees. I was with my wife as she was going through to her appointment, since she didn't speak English well, when the guy started yelling at me "hey hey" in a sharp voice showing utterly rude manners (as a way to tell me I was not allowed to go inside with her). Apparently such people have not learned how to address others in a civilized way. They might also think that being in a position of power, no matter how minimal, gives them the right to treat people however they like.

Extremely police, welcoming and fast customer service. Although I was forgotten to bring my green card and had to first check in with department supervisor and then start normal steps, all the fingerprints process from entrance check (the minutes I walked in and wait for check in) it to the last step (leaving the building) took less than 20 minutes. (I would say around 15 minuets).
